I've connected this to an electric bike motor and a charge controller . The load on the charge controller are two DC motors taking about 5V and 5 A. This device indeed takes 24V and gives you 12V but it does not do the amperes part (20A) as stated. Would placing a supercapacitor between the generator and the converter help? Can anyone help ? I'm new to electronics and basically haven't got much of a clue Thank you

On test this device works as described. Output is smooth and provides 5 amps constantly with acceptable heat generation. Regulation is within acceptable limits at about 10% over 2-10 amps and peak at 12 amps short term. Wouldn't want to use at more than 10 amps though.

Worked well at first but now it does not seem to work, little or no output.

Don’t purchase unless you require an ornament.

Excellent quality, gives a constant 12v over quite a large input variation.
