Can these lights fill a room, or are they for closeups only, lighting a small subject on a table etc?

Although these lamps give a good, fairly wide coverage, they are designed for 'pack shot' photography, such as table-top objects, model sets etc., and would not be suitable as the main light sources for lighting a room, portrait photography etc. However, they may be suitable as fill-in or key lighting, to illuminate specific areas, for example, alcoves, room corners, overhead hair enhancement etc.

Are there additional filters available for different colours than the ones shown?

Does this provide enough lighting for a stop motion set? (I am currently using paper cutouts)

I sometimes use these lights for stop motion. They are bright enough when used within 1/2 metre. There is some fall off if you get too close, and hot spots. This might be operator error though. Overall for the size they throw out a lot of light which is even as they are made up of lots of little leds. If you are lighting from above, they are not tall enough to get up and over on their own, you would need to magyver some extra height I think.
