Thermos Glass Vacuum Carafe, 34 oz, Brushed Stainless Steel

This is why Thermos was the gold standard 50 years ago and still is today. High quality product for a very reasonable price! This keeps my coffee hot for 8 hours and more if I fill it with hot water and let it stand for 5 minutes before filling it with leftover coffee. (Pre-warming) It's vacuum sealed, the inside is glass and the outside is stainless steel. Easy to keep clean - (I use a bottle brush gently after each use.) I'm thrilled with it. Having had 3 carafes prior to this one (and 2 of them were twice the price of this Thermos carafe) this is the best. Period.

This carafe replaced a Thermos brand glass-insulated carafe we had used for 15 years...it was white plastic, and finally looked so beat up and stained that we decided to order another. This Thermos brand is the BEST...we had purchased another glass-lined carafe (another brand) from a local restaurant supply store -- but it did NOT keep the coffee hot for more than a couple of hours. This one (just like our old favorite) does the job very well, especially when wrapped in a couple of dishtowels for additional insulation (especially handy on long car trips!)The lid is secure, the black doesn't show coffee 'drips' (a problem with the white one) and the larger circumference apparently holds additional insulation. This one keeps your 'java' hot...though I would never think of holding it upside down, it probably drips. And, the instructions say don't use ice cubes -- which we never do.Use it for your morning coffee or tea, my husband spoils me with hot coffee every morning, that's why I married him! :)

VERY unhappy with this purchase. Very surprised because Thermos has a good name. From the start, the cap opener had to be reset. It worked for a while, but now every time I use it, the cap opener has to be reset. The pot keeps the coffee hot, but very annoying to have to keep realigning the cap opener in order to work..... Too late for me to return now too.

This thermos had worked well, when used for hot, but there is a problem which should be made very clear. DO NOT put an ice cube into it as it literally exploded quite violently in my hand.Reading the warranty it dose warn of this, so I consider this my fault, I am doing this just as a warning to others.Pieces of glass blew out the top, and the bottom was skewered to the side from the force, much like if a cherry bomb had gone off inside.all from 2 or 3 ice cubes (before fluid)I did like it, and will reorder just want to share a lesson learned the hard way.

I was very excited when I got my carafe and as I was washing it per the instructions included, it literally exploded. I was so sad and disappointed at this. I read the instructions like a million times to make sure I was do it this correctly, but I don't know... Maybe I needed to read it a million times more. Very disappointed.

Love this Carafe! I can put coffee in at the beginning of my day and this carafe keeps the coffee hot till the end of my day.

I used this Thermos daily during the winter for a total of 4 years. Now the latch is broken which makes the thermos useless and I cannot find a replacement lid. For the money I would say OK but other thermoses have warranties that would replace a broken lid.

I'm Persian and my family drinks tea like no one's business. We literally have tea ready 24/7.We fill one of these up with boiling water and the other with heavily steeped tea in boiling water and pour a mix of the two to our taste.My family has gone through a lot of various thermal carafes and these are our favorite. Cost is cheap, quality is great, and they hold the heat for a very very long time. 8+ hours and the tea is still hot enough.The lid can be tricky, but once you figure out that if you start to twist it on in the backwards position, it always lines up properly.
