Quality specialty plug
After constructing an extension cord that terminated with an AFCI/GFCI outlet in a waterproof enclosure, I needed a plug that would allow me to limit current flow and prevent overloads. This one worked fine. Most of the time I use it with a 300 mA ABC ceramic fuse for an outdoor heated pet bed. When fitted with a 15 amp fuse it gives me a heavy duty extension cord. It will accept up to 12-3 cord. I'm knocking it down one star for price,

Protect ANYTHING more accurately than a full amprage circuit breaker! I'm using an ABC ceramic 0.2 A fuse for a gun safe heater
The number one use I wanted this plug for was to safely protect a factory made gun safe heater. I was quite resistant about putting something electrical, that could short out or have the potential to CAUSE a fire situation INSIDE a fire proof safe. I've been an electrician for over 38 years so I'm not basing my decision on paranoia. Anyway, the flexible Browning heater I chose, is only about 7 or 8 watts & has an LED to indicate power. It doesn't cook the insides & helps Silica Gel not have to work so hard (I still use both) but only one plug in rechargeable pack now instead of two. The heater dropped the humidity by around 5% & keeps the temperature around 5 to 8 degrees warmer than outside of the safe. Back to the plug.......I use an ABC ceramic 200 milliamp fuse JUST IN CASE the heater ever develops a problem it won't be driven by a 20 amp receptacle that the heater is pluged into. To me......the cost of the plug is worth the added protection. Hubble HBL5299 is also an excellent quality fused plug, I use both the Hubble model & the Daniel Woodhead model, both are great plugs for added protection on smaller current rated items.
