Fashionable AND Functional
I bought this diaper bag before my 2nd child was born, to replace the one I used with my 1st (JJ Cole Mode diaper bag), which I didn't like so much (it was super cute, but too small inside and other design flaws). I have used the Caprice Bag now for 6 months, and I just LOVE it. First of all, it is so fashionable and cute--which is nice when it's the bag we moms have to carry everywhere! It can be held by either the handles or the included detachable shoulder strap. My favorite thing: it is so roomy inside! I can pack everything I need for baby (and even some stuff for my older child too) for an entire day trip--and I pack extras of everything--and it fits easy and still looks good too. The side pockets are really big--I can fit 2 water bottles in one pocket, even with the bag fully packed. I LOVE the front zipper pockets for things like wallet, phone, coupons, keys, etc.--just so nice and convenient when out shopping. The included changing mat in the back pocket is a nice big size, and (my favorite) is a little more padded on one side, like a pillow! Comfy...and good for remembering which side to put baby's head on each time! Another thing I really like about this bag is that it is PVC and phthalate free, which means it doesn't have that yucky vinyl smell to it, and more importantly is safe for baby and his things.I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the bag--and I'm usually a very picky person. I've had no trouble with quality; all the stitching is tight and looks good, nothing is coming apart, etc. I find it funny that some people have complained about the fact that the top flops over when it's empty--it's true that it doesn't have super stiff sides like a vinyl bag might, but I personally like the material's flexibility--it's easier to pack and fit more inside it that way. I don't ever notice a problem when it's packed. If you're only going on a short errand and need just a diaper or burp cloth, I suppose it could cause issues, but I personally just use a small handbag for times like that. For what it's made for--fitting a lot of stuff and looking cute!--it's a great buy.Tip--watch the price of this bag here on Amazon carefully. It's often listed for a VERY high price, kind of unrealistic. For example, at the time of this review, it's listed much higher than what I purchased it for. Check around to see what it's listed for on other sites first to make sure you're getting a good price for it here on Amazon.

still holding up after all this time, roomy and practical, looks pretty good for a diaper bag
This review is for the black with cream pattern, I don't know if the quality issues others are having are with a different pattern. Mine has held up just fine for at least 1 year of continual use, plus I took it out again to use with my new baby for the last 6 months. I washed it in the washing machine (no dryer) and it looks great. While the stitching on the inside pockets looks flimsy, I am an over packer who has given this bag a real workout and everything is still fine. I shove it into my single stroller's ridiculous basket (city mini gt), I hang it from the the double stroller's handles both with the messenger strap as well as with hooks through the side rings, hang it over the backs of chairs, and also keep it on the floor. It is a large bag, and not as heavy as others I've tried. An example of stuff I keep in it regularly and it still closes despite being overstuffed:4 bottles with 6-8 oz of water each1 or 2 small containers of formula2-4 bibs or burp cloths4-8 sz 3 diapersPack of wipesDiaper cream2 onesies2 pants2 pairs socks2 thin blankets2 pacifiersSmall zip pouch with wallet, cell phone, makeup, sunglassesSmall sunscreenSmall sanitizer2 extra nipples for bottlesSteam sanitizing bagPlastic bagsI sometimes add a couple of tightly rolled blanketsThe bag of course works better if I take out about 3 or 4 items. I have tried quite a few bags and I keep coming back to this one. My husband and the babysitter both reach for this one, too. Your husband might want something more manly, but at least the pattern is not too girly.

Very large, but good shape and size
I ordered the Aqua and it's really pretty. It should be noted that the side pockets can each fit two water bottles. So that is four bottles on the outside of the bag. The top front zipper pocket fits my keys with some room, the lower large zipper compartment fits my iPhone 6 Plus and a thin zipper pouch that I use as my wallet. I don't think a full wallet and phone would fit because the pocket doesn't expand to accommodate much thickness wise. The lower straight zipper pocket is only big enough to fit a pen or two. The inside will stand open which makes for easy access. The bag is wide from front to back so you could lay things down (like be quicks) and stack them. I carry this by the long shoulder strap however I do like having the shorter handles when lifting it up off the ground and placing it on another surface or as a quick grab. I do worry that this bag will show dirt very easily and I am not sure how wipeable it will be ( this is not glazed), however I got it when the price dropped to forty and felt like it will be good while it lasts and I'll just have to be a little careful with it. It also doesn't have feet so you have to be careful where you rest it and not to drag it (my husband has a habit of dragging my bag over to him instead of lifting). I mainly will be using this bag when I'm out all day or special trips like the museum or playground and need to pack more than the usual. And there would still be a little bit of room to stuff a few more things. An example of what I fit in here for a 6yr old, 3yr old, and 4 mo old:Three thermos water bottles in the exterior bottle pockets (can fit 4)Keys, small wallet, iPhone, and a pen in the front little pocketsBe quick with a change of clothes for the baby and a pair of shorts for the three-year-oldBe quick with small notebooks and coloring books from the Dollarspot at target, Usborne dry erase cards, two mini dry erase erasers, colored pencils, crayons and dry erase markers.A handful of size 5 and size 2 diapers (either in the interior pouches or a be quick)Wipes containerTiny first aid kit with bandaids and NeosporinNursing coverBaby rattle and tetherChanging pad2 take and toss cups of snack (for the two oldest)And there is room when I need to add a snack for the baby or if we switch to bottles. And also my PPB powder room case which has kiddie flatware, bendy straws (no spilling tipped cups), my inhaler, Chapstick, and other odds and ends. I don't always bring that case but it keeps all the little stuff in one place. (I hate digging). It's a very big bag but you can use smaller bags/pouches to make this very easy to navigate. I don't really use the built in pouches for anything unless the diapers aren't in a be quick. If it had feet, and those lower two zipper compartments a little better (like maybe one combined instead of two, with a little give for a wallet) then I think it would be 5 star. I worry about the wipe ability of the exterior too since its textured and pale. We shall see how long it lives.

I love JJ cole products but I had used the JJ ...
I love JJ cole products but I had used the JJ cole Caprice for less then 3 months with 2 children under 2 and the messenger strap snapped (breastfed baby, so no added weight of formula and bottles, just diapers wipes clothes, snacks, sippy cup, water bottle and wallet) and the messenger strap snapped

Love this bag
Love this diaper bag. It is lovely and fits absolutely everything I need and more! I haven't used a purse at all since I got it because the mom pocket fits all I need. I love how it has straps for the stroller as well. I never leave home without It!!

Por dentro trae 4 bolsas y por fuera 2 bolsas termicas para los biberones. Tambien tiene la esponjita para cambiar el pañal y 2 ganchos para colgarla de la carriola o carrito de compras.
