Cherub WCP-60G Clip On Acoustic Guitar Pickup

First, as a quick background, I am a classically trained pianist who is very serious about music. I am in one of the top conservatories in the country (US). I am very reticent about exaggerating the necessity for some metronome or another. To me, you just need something to keep a steady beat. However, I was completely impressed with this metronome. I can't review every aspect of this metronome, but I can just say it is excellent for the price. I received it for approx. $13 USD. In contrast, I cannot review the reliability of the electronics or its battery life (I just received it). Brand new, it is excellent. It really does everything as advertised. For those who are "annoyed" by the sound of a metronome: IT IS A METRONOME! It is GOING to sound terrible! There is a volume button! The instructions are quick and to the point and I wasn't confused in the least while reading them (They weren't completely grammatically correct, as it is manufactured in China). In my experience, I would say that the price cannot be beaten! If it were up to me, I would have a mechanical metronome. This is only for the fact that I have little faith in the reliability of something this cheap. It is very lightweight and portable (unlike a mechanical metronome). If it does die on me, I will try to change this review, but I feel like Amazon won't allow that. It is excellent for now!

We were hoping this would be a good substitute for the ticking of our big pendulum clock to help our newborn sleep at night, but while it does everything a metronome should do, unfortunately the tone of the "tick," despite having 9 different options, is definitely electronic-sounding and not very soothing, so we bought a cheap alarm clock instead and are tucking this away in case the kid ever wants music lessons down the road. It works admirably for keeping time, I just can't recommend it as a baby/puppy ticker.

Bought for my wife. She just started to learn to play the keyboard. It does help. Have to see if has a volume control.

My old mechanical died after serving us well for many years. I replaced it with this unit and will never go back to the mechanical one.The pros: small size, long battery life, changeable sound, earplug, very intuitive to use.Cons: not really a con. Hope it comes with a case.

Would not recommend it, piece of junk! I used it once a week since I bought it, and it stopped working on day 89. Waste of money.

Moderately loud click, but not loud enough. The design, to its credit, is sleek. Features, however, are somewhat confusing to use at first. Biggest gripe is that the screen started to fade about four months into use. Nearly impossible to make adjustments if I can't read anything off of the metronome.I much prefer the Seiko Quartz metronome. It has a loud click and an option to hear an A440 drone. Plus, it's much more simplistic (and therefore easier to use) than this metronome.

After reading many of the current reviews on this product, it's relevant to write another. I'm not a professional musician, which could make a difference for the professionals, of course. As a beginning piano student, an activity undertaken after retirement, as a hobby to fight the dreaded Alzheimer's, I needed to focus on the beats, so I searched for something of little cost and good value. This instrument is priced at an entry-level that should not represent a financial burden to a determined beginner. It does exactly what I expected it to do. It's digital and with a couple of minutes reading the manual to determine how the equipment works, with little effort its users will get the timing they want. Its energy consumption is nothing to worry about. It runs on batteries and I've used it daily, three hours a day, for a month with the original batteries without having to change them yet. The equipment I received is loud enough to hear across the room, unlike another writer's experience. I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to continue using the product. I give the product five stars, but it was slow in arriving, for it came directly from China via regular mail, as I requested to save on the shipping, since a penny saved is a penny earned.

Great deal for the money. Does a nice job with lots of options and travels easily. We were pleasantly surprised at the flexibility in the uses of this product.

Buen producto con buena relación calidad/precio.Yo lo usé para utilizarlo como microfono piezoelectrico en un programa de cronocomparador para windows (Tg. 0.5.0).Me ha servido sin problema y detecta la señal del reloj automatico bastante bien.Eso sí,el reloj debe estar con la tapa quitada para que te muestre unos valores fiables y adecuados a la marcha del reloj.Es decir, por poco dinero puedes hacerte con un cronocomparador para tus relojes automaticos.Sin duda,recomiendo su compra para este tipo de uso.

Utilizzato per chitarra classica; il microfono si aggancia al rosone mentre il cavo va collegato a uno speaker/amplificatore. Per principianti, ma con poco più di 7 Eur ti organizzi a casa un mini show in famiglia o con gli amici.

Un prix si petit pour un telle qualité de son ! Ce produit se fixe bien, et le son rendu est parfait. Un micro à ce prix, n'hésitez pas ! Au pire vous ne perdez pas grand chose à essayer :)

Remarkably good for such an inexpensive item. It will pick up sound from nylon strings (in contrast to inductive pickups which will only work with metal strings). You may need to tape the lead to the guitar body to avoid picking up unwanted scraping noises, but who can quibble at this price?
