Meet Heatwave The Fire-Bot (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition) (Transformers: Rescue Bots) Library Binding – June 4, 2013

My preschool son loves Heatwave and is starting to want to learn to read, so this is just perfect for him. Simple words that he can start to recognize (since learning to read is repetition learning) and he feels very proud of himself when he starts picking out the words. A good length for bedtime stories too, long enough that he feels he's getting a story but short enough I can read the whole book without his mind wandering off.There's a bit of a hidden moral in it (as there is in the cartoon too) which I like (my son has trouble dealing with being mad, so I am hoping that he can take cues from how Heatwave handles sulking because he's mad and steps up to do his job).No, it doesn't exactly follow the cartoon episode, but I've found most of these 'based on' books are truly based on, they have to condense them for the reader's reading level and sometimes that requires changing some parts (otherwise the book would be too long or details left out making the scene make no sense). The most important part is learning to read.

Purchased this book for my 3 year old son that LOVES Rescue Bots. The story is the one about the floating lobsters. The pictures are nice and the words are very large. What I don't like is that some of the words are very big. I would have liked to see the story with even more sight words. If your kid loves Rescue Bots they will enjoy hearing you read this book.

My three year old, Willy loves the Rescue bot series. These books are a perfect fit for him. He loves them and it gives another way to give him his rescue bot fix with turning on a show! He asks for these every night since they arrived. I would highly recommend them for young children. As he ages he will be able to read these on his own as well because the books are written for early readers. I believe these will be a favorite for a few years in our house.

My son loves these books. Like all of the books in this series, the plot in this book is adapted from an episode of the television series.Truth be told, the books are agonizing to read. Where the TV show uses pretty normal language, the book feels like it's talking down to the reader. But this is the status quo for books targeting younger kids, so I can't penalize the rating that much.

Simple first books that my boys love because they love Rescue Bots. They really enjoy reading the books with us, the stories are short and I strongly suspect that as they begin to get the hang of reading, these books will be some of the first books that they read on their own.

Purchased as a gift for a huge Rescue Bots fan. He loves and reads all the time. The price could have been better or would have been cool as a package deal, but this was good.

Great for a young child. My 4 year old loves the Rescue Bots and this is one of his favorite books now. The story has enough detail to make it interesting but a quick read and nice for early readers.

My son is obsessed with Transformer Rescue Bots. This book was perfect for him. It allows him to enjoy his favorite characters while instilling the love of reading.

My son (a die hard rescue bots fan) loves these stories. They are thin books with very short, basic & easy to read stories based on one of the tv episodes, so if you're looking for chunky books with intricate, new stories then these aren't for you, but I've been made to read these virtually every night since we got them so from a 4 year old's perspective they're worth 5 stars!

The story is simple and one from the show. If you are looking for something enjoyable to read then this is not for you. It's is really to allow children to practise their own reading and if you have an emerging reader who enjoys the show then this is good for the price.

Very pleased with this book , well made and the grandchildren love reading about their favourite Rescue Bots. My just turned 6 yr old can read it himself too . . Good to encourage boys to read.
