Buy this tent.
Ok so I am sitting in the tent now and have been camping for the last 2 weeks. Don't know why they have a warning on keeping it up for extended periods. I got new hammock straps for it. I bought land and thought it would be comfortable while I build my cabin/home. Planning on using it for 4 months and will update. The tent is more comfortable than your bed, no joke. You will get a great nights sleep out of it if the conditions are right. Example 1, the screen zipper to get in is huge so if you are slow mosquitos will get in and you will spend a few minutes killing them. Example 2, if you are camping in an area where the temp goes to even 60 degrees at night you will feel the cold under the tent and it sucks. My fix was a comforter under me, no sleeping bag, but again sucks to get in place, that worked on a night where it got to 38. Once in place it's amazing. As to my 5 star rating those are first world problems and I love this thing. Wake up feeling amazing. What prompted me to write this was I went through an intense 5 hour thunderstorm last night and was dry the entire time, another no no from the company. I put it 8 ft up but have 2,000 pound test straps around big trees. Can be awkward with weight distribution for 1 person but you still feel safe in it.Set it up several times and it's a piece of cake after you know how to put it up. It took me 15 minutes to put it 8 ft in the trees alone. First time took an hour at 3 ft. I will never sleep on the ground again camping after owning this tent. The rain fly fills with water if you actually want head room getting out, if you put it higher than recommended. Made the pole sag but was fixed when I kicked off the water before I jumped out of the tent. I have it set pretty flat. Again another first world problem. After 5 hours of pouring remember. My complaints are just telling you what to expect. You can really enjoy this tent if you are smart about it. I'd buy this tent for all my friends and family for Christmas if it wasn't 350 bucks! If you have doubts forget about it and buy it. This thing is the best. You will cuddle with your partner pretty close fyi. So may not be for bros going on a camping trip!

Make sure it's level!!!
This is a really cool tent! My fiance and I bought it a few months back and we wanted to try it out in different settings before we reviewed. First off, set it up first thing when you arrive to the campsite. Make absolutely damn sure it is perfectly level or else you will either A) be sliding into each other and into the side of the tent B) sliding down to the feet part of the tent or C) have all your blood rush to your head. Take the time to make sure it's level. Get in and try it before it's 2am and you're tired. Also make sure you have a warm sleeping bag and something warm underneath you. We took it camping in Colorado and it got down to 30 degrees and we weren't prepared for the wind underneath us. Be prepared. Set up is incredibly easy once you get the hang of it. Even though it says not to hang higher than 4 feet, we like to hang it as high as possible. My fiance has to give me a boost to get into it. It's so much fun. Best tent we've ever bought. I highly recommend it. There's just something special about hanging out in trees. And believe it or not finding 3 trees that work for it isn't that hard!

Check out my video on it
Bought this to camp on the beach in Culebra PR and it was SOOOO WORTH IT! I was skeptical that it would not hold us or sag or we would both get sucked into the middle but none of this happened. It took a few minutes to figure out what trees to put it on but once i lined it up it was super easy to assemble. Only issue is that it's not the best thing to cuddle in since there is a strap support in the middle. The strap doesn't effect you when you're sleeping but makes it hard to hold your partner at night. It is great for keeping out critters and the open screen made it amazing to stare at stars all night. Made a little video on my youtube channel. Watch the videos and your good to go
Ok, I used it for the first time last night. I bought this to use on my property with my grandkids but wanted to do a test run first. I also planned this night because the weather forecasted rain in the early morning and I wanted the full test.Set up: Watch the videos and your good to go. I think I need to pay better attention to strap angles as indicated on the label. I had the straps as tight as I could get them and still had more “sag” than what I noticed in the videos. I will update after I try again.Strap height/level ness, because of the distribution of your body weight i would suggest having the foot end slightly lower, this helps accommodate for the sag.Occupants: I’m 5’9” and 175 lbs. even with a grandchild this would be close quarters. And a wiggly five year old would definitely make this thing bounce 😀. Larger would be better but again I need to do better with the straps.Rain fly: I knew it was going to rain but what I got was a downpour for over an hour. Rain fly did great but I did get a small trickle in by my feet. Again my fault, I did the rain fly in the dark and did not have good coverage on that end and if that end of the tent was lower I would not have had an issue.Overall I am pleased. I will make some adjustments in my set up and if satisfied will upgrade to 5 stars or decrease to 3.
