DMT FWMEF-H Double Sided Diafold Sharpener with Fine/Extra-Fine Hardcoat Surface

I use these for a variety of shop filing, but most of all for sharpening kitchen knives. When invited to dinner I put these in my pocket and sharpen a whole kitchen block full of knives in ten minutes. I have a first rate electric sharpener, but this file is even faster, and fits in my pocket.

A modestly skilled user can quickly and conveniently produce a hair shaving edge with this sharpener. This fine/extra fine model works well for touch-ups. But if the edge is chipped or really dull, a coarser grit diamond will be needed to restore the bevel.Proviso:--- For the ultimate edge, guided sharpeners are superior. As good as it is, this freehand sharpener does not normally produce results like those from guided systems like Wicked Edge, KME, Edge Pro, etc.Adding to the convenience, I've found this little sharpener works best dry ... without water or oil. It takes a long time before it needs cleaning but holding it under a tap using a little dishwasher detergent is all that's required.I wish DMT would make this sharpener in a rust-proof version. Then it would be close to perfect.

The '"hard coat" version is significantly better quality than the regular version. I have used this one quite a bit and it gives a better finish to the blade.

If you want to sharpen any knife that you own (that isn't a total wreck) this little sharpener will do the job perfectly. It's overpriced, but an excellent product.

I carry it in my hunting pack. Use it to touch up my broadheads and my pack knives. Easy to use and light weight. Perfect to keep your edges up

I have several dmt diamond sharping stones and use them regularly being as I'm a carpenter. I also use them to sharpen gardening tools and my kitchen knives.I have tried other brands because they are cheaper but ended up having to buy dmt to replace them.This doubled sided stone is great for getting a really keen edge after using the coarser grades, with the bonus of the continuous diamond to sharpen small stuff.The other bonus was this was about half price so quids in.

Zum Messerschärfen super geeignet,. Man sollte sich mit Schärfwinkeln etwas auseinander gesetzt haben und die motorischen Fähigkeiten trainieren. Super Produkt, ich empfehle es gern.Ich habe auch den kleinen Schlüsselanhänger davon und meine Schwiegereltern staunen immer wenn ich beim Besuch ihre Küchenmesser damit kurz durchschärfe.

I love me some DMT. Have thousands in DMT products and have yet to be let down. (minus a used item that someone swapped items in the box)

Does not feel like my other dmt fine and extra fine stones feels very rough.
