Waterless grease is a must for working on faucets. Used reg silicone in the past with poor results.

Danco 80360 Waterproof Faucet Grease
I'm sure the product is fine eventhough you sure don't get much in a 1/2 tube. Real reason for not leaving 5 stars is because delivery is always so late in the day. I swear I'm last on the drivers route which causes me to do repairs the following day.
