Front brakes
It was time for me to change the brakes. I found these for a good price and very good quality. If you are thinking of buying one for your 2019 Tacoma, I recommend them.

Stops on a dime
I run these is both my Lexus Gx470 and Gx460. Perfect fit, way less dust than the Lexus pads. Wheels stay much cleaner. Super quiet, no noise at all. These pads do not fade in stop and go highway traffic with hard braking. My new go to pads.

Huge Improvement 2018 T4R SR5 4x4
These Brembo brake pads fit perfectly which was a sigh of relief for ordering online. In addition I replaced the old rotors with Brembo’s from Rock Automotive. Finally my vehicle stops without the pause before the brakes start to work and I don’t have to stand on the petal at a stop sign to prevent that phantom rolling.

Pads Cracked
Matched these pads with new Brembo rotors from NAPA and squeaked from the start. Was hoping squeak would go away. Actually was told by a shop, they had a customer that had brembo pads and they were defective. Went ahead and decided to finally replace the pads and found they they have signs of cracking. The rotors also had signs of warpage. Turned the rotors and bought some akebonos and reinstalled and are flawless thus far, no squeak. Installed in May 2025 and replaced Dec 2025

Better than OE in some ways
Much better pedal feel than the OE Toyota pads and better initial bite. Seem to have slightly better overall stopping power. But they do make noticeably more brake dust than the OE pads too. Small drawback for such an improvement in an area I always felt my 4Runner was lacking.

Very forgiving street pad that can handle lots of hard stops (cold or hot)
I used these when towing with my Tacoma (With upgraded Tundra Calipers) and these pads are wonderful. Extremely easy to modulate (not too aggressive), but they do grab when you need a lot of immediate stopping power. The compound seems to work fine even when cool all while showing low signs of brake fade. Pros: Great compound for heavy duty use (low fade and semi aggressive stopping power) and very low noise. Cons: Does create some dust.
