What does it mean inkjet or no inkjet?

It means the check scanner can endorse the back of the check. Thus removing the need to stamp or sign each check for deposit.

Can this printer be used with windows ? I realized that cx30 work with windows but it doesn´t come with printer.

Yes it can be used with Windows, however my bank's software does not allow it to work with Windows 10 yet. They have an update coming in March, so they say. (I am not sure if this is the same with all compatible software.) I currently am using it with Windows 7. I recommend buying the one with the inkjet included so this can print on the back of the check, however that is up to you, but it was part of my banks' requirements. The printer was confusing to me, however I purchased the one with the "inkjet included" and it is enclosed inside of the scanner and not an additional printer. I hope this helps!

How can you tell if your machine has inkjet capabilities. Mine never printed anything on the check?

All depends what you bought. If it is a CX30.NJ that stands for non Ink Jet machine. You might have to purchase the ink jet cartridge from your local staples. It is an HP C6602A cartridge. The machine will say whether it is an IJ or NJ on the bottom of the machine
