Used this in our Alice and Wonderland theme down the rabbit trail. Really wonderful item that is fun for kids and adults.

I’ve always been obsessed with oversized chess sets so I was excited about this. Unfortunately it has some issues. The main issue is the chess board pieces though the correct colors are not correct “male” “female” pieces so they won’t snap together. You can lay them out but they come apart rather quickly. The second issue was that I bought this to use outside and the pieces are hollow so they blow around. We filled them with sand and covered the holes (there are two - bottom and side) with epoxy so that they won’t blow around. Ultimately this is a lot more work than anticipated. Just wanted to have a fun chess set but it’s turned into maybe we should glue the entire board set together since it won’t snap into place and maybe we should buy a chess board rug. Cute idea. Just needs a little more effort put into execution.

Bought the 12 inch outdoor set for $199. This product was very cheaply made and had I known about the 10 day return policy past delivery date, I would have never purchased from Mega Chess as a Christmas gift. I was told they stick strongly to the return policy and basically had no satisfaction guarantee for there valued customers in my reply email. Value is definitely not worth the cost. Super Cheap. They lost a potential great customer being my family loves Chess. Will not waste anymore money with this TX company. Unfortunate really.
