I have a Wifi antenna that came with my motherboard. The antenna was a source of endless irritations. I replaced it but had to return because if worked much worse than the original. So I though about a flat magnet to glue on the bottom. I found these magnetic strips with adhesive. Wish I'd bought these much earlier. It only took a few minutes to mark the adhesive side, and cut to fit. It works PERFECTLY! Recommended.

I am very happy with these magnetic strips. They are have a strong adhesive backing, great magnetic strength and a nice, thick quality about them. The only downside for me is they don't seem to be available in any other lengths - I could really use longer lengths. They are easy enough to cut and piece together, with a whole length to make up for length I need, so that's an easy workaround. These are the strongest magnetic strips I've found yet!

I thought 3M adhesives were supposed to be good, but not in this case. I applied several of these to a clean painted wood surface and left them for a day before applying any stress, and they came loose quickly with almost no weight on them. There's just very little adhesion to that type of surface. Maybe they stick better to bare metal (as the description claims), but they sure didn't stick to a painted surface. The magnetic strength isn't anything to write home about either - will they really hold a pair of scissors as shown in the pictures? Hardly. I'm a little surprised they don't show an axe, or an anvil, stuck to the wall with one of these strips, since they seem to have no qualms about exaggerating the power of these things. Maybe they'd hold a paper clip or two, but with that much weight on them the adhesive will quickly fail. In fact the weight of the strip itself will cause it to peel off. Don't bother with these.

These magnets are quite weak. Extremely light items will stick, but often precariously. A smaller-than-usual metal pen stuck if laying across the whole strip (parallel); if perpendicular, it held if in the right place, but it was very easily knocked off. A keychain with 5 keys stuck, but only since one of the keys is steel. A nail clipper held, but a small tap made it fall. A tape measure (0.4 lbs.) stuck, but didn't hold; using 8 strips, it held the tape measure upside down (like if taped underneath a cabinet shelf), but not on the side (like taped to the wall; it slides off). These are all extremely light items. I bought these for a small, LED light bar, like the kind you'd put in a cabinet or closet. It weighs a few ounces, and there are magnets inside to stick to a piece of metal with adhesive that came with the bar. (The metal got lost while moving.) One of these magnetic strips does not hold the bar, even lining up the magnets in the bar properly with magnetic zones in the strip. However, I found that if I stuck a strip to the bar with the adhesive (and lining up the magnets), and then stuck that strip to another strip, it holds the bar quite well. If you don't mind affixing a strip with the adhesive to your item, like this light, then these might work well using two per item.

They shipped faster than expected, the sticky backing is super secure (I tried to reposition a piece and had to peel it back with scissors), and they hold more weight than expected (nail clippers are secure any way I put them). Its perfect for my makeup organization

I purchased these strips initially to keep a wooden sign from falling off the top of my safe and they worked very well. They are easy to use and rather strong. I also made a tool holder from some pieces of 2" x 2" scrap lumber and it works great for holding some of my carving tools. They are now easy to get to and much more organized. All in all a very handy thing to have around the house. I can see a multitude of uses for these strips.

I ordered this pack to cut for the back of a couple of 1"x1x1/4" glass keepsakes. The adhesive let go of the glass square a few days after installation. The magnet held to the refrigerator but the adhesive couldn't hold on to this small glass square. I have two of these one had a very smooth back and the other has very slight irregularities. The very smooth back held on for 4 days the not smooth back lasted only two. I am very surprised as it says 3M on the tape backing and they are known for quality.
