Q: How do you close the chair? I know theres the "push here to unlock" button but its impossible to collapse!

Q: Is this chair comfortable to sit in? My daughter has a wooden chair she hates, looking for a comfortable chair she can use frequently.

My daughter loves sitting in hers. She actually has 2 of these camp style chairs. It's just like the adult version of a folding camp chair.

Q: Is this an appropriate size for an 8 year old?

It would just depend on your child's size. My daughter is going on 4 and weighs 45 pounds and sits with a lot of growing room available. My 7 year old niece is about 60 pounds and sits fine when she visits. My sister who is about 5' 115 pounds even sat it in recently and was surprisingly fine in it 😉
