Great for more than just ice!
I originally ordered 2 of these after searching all over Amazon for decent molds for crayons that are similar like the basic crayon shape (long, round, and skinny) and found nothing exactly like I wanted. I decided to try these, as they were the next best thing, and I saw another reviewer mentioned enjoying making crayons with them. I thought to get 2 for just in case, as we had LOTS of broken crayons to mend together, but we only used 1 of them since they were so big and the wait to do each set wasn't too long. When the crayons were melted in the mold, then frozen, I took a knife and cut each stick in half (which was easy, as I could do 1 of each color and split them between my 2 kids so they each have their own). Before, we did a rectangular mold, and my kids didn't like how it made it so hard to color in the lines and left their pages really messy, so I wanted to find something they'd enjoy. They loved how the crayons came out from this mold, and it made the crayons easy for their small hands to hold while also making coloring inside the lines more easier. And as for the other 1 that I didn't use yet, I'll be using it for freezing ice for my water bottles. So, nice win-win situation.

Excellent ice cubes for five years now
I have used this ice cube mold continuously since I purchased it in 2014, five years ago. It makes excellent water-bottle ice, really easy to extract from the mold. If you under-fill the mold a little, the cubes are about 1/2” in diameter, and fit easily into narrow-opening bottles. If you fill the mold to the top, the cubes are a nice, bigger size. I have never had any issues with taste, or residue in the mold. The silicone ice cube mold is flexible, which could be problematic when filling with water. I obviate the issue by placing the empty mold on top of a regular, plastic ice cube tray (filled or not), and filling it. Then I place the stack of tray and mold in the freezer. No mess, no drama. As soon as the water in the silicone mold has set a little, the plastic tray, if unfilled, can come out of the freezer.I came on the site today because I decided to get another of these molds, to supplement my first one, which is still going strong. I was surprised the ratings weren’t all stellar, so I am adding mine.

Awesome tray that does exactly what you need it to do!
I purchased these water bottle trays to be used to melt broken crayons into new whole crayons. While I did not make ice, using them to move hot wax made me understand why people were finding them "hard to fill" since they could potentially spill. Since I read the reviews of this product before purchase I knew this may be an issue with very hot wax. My solution (which worked just fine for the hot wax and would work equally well with water) was to put the tray on a cookie sheet first, fill it then let the wax (or ice) harden. Once hard the silicon trays were no longer difficult to transport. The wax crayons came out without having to use any kind of additional spray and held up fantastically to both hot and cold exposure. While I realize this not what the tray was designed for, it works extremely well for this purpose. I also would like to note it would be fabulous for ice cubes for this reason. Finding fault with the product for being 'flimsy' seems a tad silly as it would seem equally tricky to remove ice cubes from a less flexible item. It cleans up very nicely and I am looking forward to using it again and again. I would highly recommend this product and have in fact done so.

excellent for many things
excellent for many things. I love using it to melt a few chocolate chips in each section using the microwave and then putting slices of bananas, strawberries, or pretzel rods ontop and then putting it into the freezer to be able to have a quick, easy, relatively healthy treat with easy preparation (no bowls involved; it can go right from microwave to freezer with no need to scrap the chocolate off the side of the bowl when melting chocolates). It is also great for making ice sticks that fit into water bottles instead of trying to hold them up to the ice dispenser and having some cubes fly all over in the process). You can also put piece of berries, fruit juice, or coffee in these molds to then put into beverages or freeze herbs in olive oil in these molds. These are just a few of the many amazing uses this product has. It is also much easier to get things out of this mold then an ice cube tray and if you only want half a stick worth of something, it is easy to break the thin sticks in half.

Love this
Pretty neat. Actually perfect size. In the picture one woukd think the mold is much bigger but it is actually the length of a water bottle so perfect for what I needed it for. Definitely silicone so you can do much more than just using it for ice. Making chocholate covered pretzle sticks so it is perfect. Shipping was not bad either took a few days but came as promised.

Great end result, hard to fill!
This little silicon ice cube tray makes great "ice rods" for your water bottle. Only problem it is TOO flexible making it very hard to fill and carry from sink to freezer without spilling water all over the place. One either has to place it on your freezer shelf empty and fill it up that way, or fill at sink, carry it on a flat rigid surface and slide it carefully onto shelf in your freezer. It is just too soft and wobbly to carry when filled. Also, one cannot overfill the slots or the "ice rods" will be a little too large to fit into the mouth of most smaller water bottles. But once frozen, the rods pop out of the tray very easily, one at a time, without the others falling out. So great end result, but hard to fill.

Made some crayons
To be fair, I bought these as molds to make multi-colored crayons. They worked well but aren't so easy to clean! I'm sure they're great for ice cubes!

Other than that - good: )
Too flexible, leave 5mm from the top edge or ice will not go through. Other than that - good :)

Love the mould, wish there was a lid
Great for water bottles. I only wish there was a lid type feature so the tray did not spill so easily in the freezer. Works well if you out the mould on a cookie sheet or other flat baking tray until frozen.

Too flexible to be a useful ice cube tray.
I've been looking for an ice cube tray shaped like this for quite some time. I was so glad when it arrived but then I tried to fill it with water. It is WAY too flexible. I think the only way to not end up with water all over the floor is to put it on a plate to fill it but this really isn't ideal. When I say it's way too flexible, I don't mean that it's easy to bend, I mean it completely bends on its own when you pick it up. It's a thin material and a bit like picking up a sheet of paper, it doesn't hold its form unsupported, at all. After pouring water all over the place twice I gave up. I'm sure it could be used for baking with less issues but make sure you put something firm under it before you try to pick it up after you've filled it.I'll keep this since I may use it for something but probably not for ice. I'll continue to look for an ice cube tray shaped like this but one made out of something less flexible.

Ice is perfect for water bottles!
This tray works great! The ice easily fits into any bottle.

Very flimsy
These arrived just as shown. The only reason I gave them 3 start is because it’s very flimsy. It would be very hard to fill with water and not spill. But they would be perfect for filling with water and making ice to fit in water bottles. Or good for making suppositories.
