NECA Batman: Arkham Origins - 18 " Action Figure (1/4 Scale)

I only own one other 1/4 scale figure (Diamond Select's Darth Maul) which I absolutely love, and I can tell you without a doubt that NECA's 1/4 scale Arkham Origins Batman is superior in almost every regard. And as other reviewers have mentioned, you just can't beat the price point on this guy. You're getting a fairly high quality figure (as these figures go) at a fraction of the cost of a Hot Toys or Sideshow purchase. Pros: (1) His sculpt and the way his armor sits on him (giving the impression that it's actual removable armor) is some of the best work I've seen on a manufactured figure, let alone in NECA's long line of 1/4 scales. (2) Paint job, once again, doesn't get any better for an assembly line collector's toy. Looking at him from a few feet back you'd think he was hand-painted by a master. (3) Cloth cape. In my opinion, this makes ALL of the difference. NECA has now done this for all three of its Batman 1/4 scales, and it raises the figure from being another hunk of pretty plastic to a premium quality showpiece. Bravo! (4) Pose ability. Normally this would be under the cons, but not so with this 1/4 scale. With the exceptions of his ankles and thigh joints, Batman has some excellent range with his limbs, head and torso. (5) Accessories. Though sparse, what's included here is very good. The batarang almost looks real and fits perfectly in the hand specifically included for it. A grapnel gun is also included, which fits (rather oddly) onto a belt harness that attaches to the back of Batman's utility belt. There are four hands (two sets) including the aforementioned batarang hand, two fists and a right hand for holding the grapnel gun. Cons: (1) He lacks decent ankle tilt and/or rotation which makes him look awkward for anything other than standing upright. Adding to this, his feet seem a little small in proportion to the rest of his hulking frame (even with the armor). However, he still stands fine on his feet and these issues would only be a problem if you're planning on giving him some highly athletic action pose. (2) Although his armor paldrons cleverly extend for additional arm movement, they are static pieces that look rather odd if not in alignment with the rest of his upper arm. Of course, a premium feature that could have fixed this would have been to give him actual elastic straps instead of molded plastic ones on the armor. But that would be a feature that would demand a much higher price point (something you'd expect from Hot Toys for $500). (3) I've gotten him to stand freely just fine, but the lack of a base stand might cause problems if you're trying to set him up in certain poses. Unfortunately, not including a base stand is another way that NECA is able to keep the price points down on their 1/4 scale figures. Bottom line, if you're thinking of purchasing this figure because you're a Batman fan or a big fan of Arkham Origins, then think no further! Buy him NOW before his price shoots up $50 or more when he's gone from shelves.

Whether you're a collector, gamer, or overall Batman fan, if you're an Arkham fanatic, this piece is a MUST have. This figure really is worth the purchase and will probably skyrocket in the secondary market once they are gone. The sculpt is outstanding, capturing a near perfect resemblance of Batman from Arkham Origins. The articulation is excellent, hidden very well among the armor and providing a wide range of motion for some dynamic poses. 25 points of articulation sure is nice on a piece this size! The paint application is great and clean with very little flaws. The cape is made of cloth which adds to the figure's overall appearance. The batarang and grapnel gun are very nicely done, as well. This figure is straight up AWESOME. NECA has produced plenty of 18" figures, yet this one here is probably my favorite up to date and is probably one of their BEST (mainly due to the articulation). As stated before on another review, this is definitely not in the league of Hot Toys, but it sure as hell is a superb substitute if you're looking for an amazing Batman figure, at a fraction of the price. I brought this items from this website about a year ago i was disappointed although the packaging was sealed great once i open it the figure had mutiple black marks on it like it was used

Well he is a pretty awesome figure. Only problem is when I bought open up the package he had no head. So i had to unsealed the item which i did not want to do to pop the head back on.

His left leg is stuck I’m afraid to force it, so I left it alone. The box looked beat up. The security wires were broken so someone must have been inside. Still a nice figure but pricey for what I got.

AMAZING collectible figure. It only gets 4 stars due to NECA's massive mistake by not including stands.

This Batman action figure is for the real men. He is big, he is heavy, and he is totally kick azz. For those of you that aren't sure whether to buy this bad boy, go make yourself some popcorn, blend a fruit margarita with a little orange peel, then turn on a nice romantic movie, because you are not tough enough to own this. But for those of you who are worthy, you will no be disappointed with this bad boy. He will break your ribs by sneezing in your direction. And of course, he will protect you and your family throughout the night. The attention to detail on this thing is outstanding, and he looks very realistic and is honestly the best action figure I have ever owned. In my honest opinion, I could never imagine anyone being unsatisfied with this guy. NECA outdid themselves with him.

11/10 didn’t expect it to be that big which is a plus, the details are really good but I’m definitely keeping it in the box, looks amazing🙌🏻

First off, this is the heaviest action figure I've owned to date, which speaks for the quality right there. There's so many moveable parts to it and you can achieve very awesome poses. As a cosplayer this is going to come in very handy if I ever decide to try to build this one.

Consiglio vivamente questa action figure. Il prezzo è piuttosto alto ma per fortuna avevo un buono da €20 e ho potuto permettermela. E' dettagliatissima, molto posabile, fedele al videogioco da cui è tratta. Sono presenti come accessori la grapple gun, un batarang, due mani per reggere le armi e un gancio per attaccare la pistola alla cintura. Gli unici due nei che riesco a trovare sono l'instabilità nelle pose più complesse a causa della limitata snodabilità delle caviglie (si muovono solo sul piano verticale, non si piegano lateralmente) e l'altalenante qualità della colorazione del painting. Purtroppo, per quanto questa figure si collochi su una fascia superiore rispetto alle classice action figure da 6-7", potrà capitare di trovare sbavature e macchioline sul painting. Purtroppo la Neca è così, vi può capitare perfetta oppure con qualche difettuccio. Per il resto è una gioia per gli occhi, quindi la consiglio vivamente!
