I have working 3.0 ports on the front of my case again.
This thing was very easy to install. It even came with an SATA power splitter in case you are out of SATA power connectors. It also came with a molex to SATA power converter. From what I remember it didn't have a good option for installing it in a 5.25" bay on a computer case, but I had a 3.5" opening on the front of my case that it just slid right into.I wish it came in white so it'd match my case but it still looks pretty good. I can't boot from a jump drive plugged into the front 3.0 ports on this but they work fine for data transfer. I could probably fix that by plugging this into the 3.0 header on my mobo instead of the one on this adapter though. Only one of the 3.0 ports plugged into that header works these days.Good deal, easy install. You'll be happy with this.

Adds life to my workstation
I have an older Dell workstation. It is built like a tank and does exactly what I need.Recently I was backing up some files to an external drive and realized that I was running on USB 1.0 ports and had a 3 day estimate to complete. I was able to order this card, install it and complete my back up in 4 days. Well worth waiting for.Installation was very simple. For anyone looking for instructions, they are on the installation CD. (I would expect printed instructions, in the box)

Prevents mac from booting.
I bought this to hopefully have usb-c on my mac pro 5,1. I installed it and when I had power going to the sata power on the card the computer would not boot at all. Once I removed the power to the card then the machine booted but the card did not work at all. It may work on PC and this review is just to help other mac users.

why not add 5 usb ports
you would think that a USB add-in card would be an easy thing to find. It took a while but this card has four USB A ports and one USB C port on the back and a USB 3.0 header on the card internally. This was exactly what I wanted and speed up my data transfers.

Much better than my old VIA chipset
I purchased this to replace a generic 3-port + peSATA card with a VIA chipset, it *works* great, see below for a couple minor caveats.I've got an older HP with Windows 10 and the VIA chipset never really played well, sometimes hanging on bootup and sometimes malfunctioning so the driver didn't load. I'd tried both VIA & Microsoft drivers. Bottom line, finicky computer for an add-on card.I initially added this card while the VIA card was still in the computer. The computer booted, but NONE of the cards would load their drivers, and in fact my WiFi card failed to load also! I fixed the WiFi simply by a disable/enable cycle, but this card refused to find a correct driver with the VIA card installed. Since Windows 10 shouldn't need the included CD (note the instructions DO say to use the CD even for Windows 10), I decided to remove the VIA card to see if that was the problem. Viola, working QNINE card & Windows 10 found the driver automatically. I was able to verify USB 3.0 connectivity with 80MBps to a flash card and 60MBps to a laptop harddrive in a carrier through both the back panel ports and the front panel ports.A couple of cautionary notes:1. The internal Sata connector on mine came broken on one side. Rather than a metal soldered down connector it just has 2 plastic pins that aren't supportive at all. After carefully connecting it works, but I've contacted the seller who promptly shipped me a replacement.2. The computer takes a while (think 1-2 minutes) to shut down now. I suspect this is because I have a device connected to the "fast charge" port, which is supposed to stay powered even when the computer is off or in sleep mode. On my computer it does NOT stay powered when the computer is off or in sleep mode; again older motherboard so no surprise there.3. The "fast charge" is not all that fast. Specifically, the GL3520 only provides 1.5A @ 5V - still 2x faster than my USB 2.0 ports, but certainly not a modern USB 3.X controller with 2A+ or even Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. It does provide that power even through a USB 3.0 passive hub. I don't plan to use this feature often, so not a big deal for me. For more info Google GL3520 spec.4. The type-C port is very low on the bracket, I had to slide the bracket a little up to ensure clear access on the back of the computer.

So far so good with ASUS AM3 mobo
I am using a PC I built in 2008 with ASUS AM3 mobo. It's old, but it's good enough for what I do. But I wanted a USB front panel. Sorry.. I have never heard of this company, but price was right. So I decided to give it a shot! So far so good.I used 3.0 port...- to clone a mechanical HD to a SSD without a problem. I am not sure the exact transport speed was. But it was faster than USB 2.0 connection for sure.- USB MIDI interface - It was recognized without a problem. As the product description says, I didn't have to install any drivers for 64-bit Windows 10.USB-C Port - Probably I will not use it. But I was able to plug my iPhone XR and recognized by iTune software.

QNINE? Never heard of before...
but will keep on looking for products from this vendor. The card was easy to install and did not require any additional drivers. Very pleased with the transfer rate and the overall look of the design.

Perfect! Super easy install into a Windows 10 OS
Didn't have to install drivers as Windows 10 found the best compatible driver on it's own. No issues with install and all cables and necessary hardware was included.
