The Ultimate Guide to Modern Calligraphy & Hand Lettering for Beginners: Learn to Letter: A Hand Lettering Workbook with Tips, Techniques, Practice Pages, and Projects

I purchased this guide after searching for a good one for a really long time.. Trust me this is hands down one of the best guides for beginners. I say this because the author has put down very simple and elegant instructions that anybody can understand and follow easily. There's an ample amount of space to practice. The author not only aims for the lettering,but also for all the additional strokes and swashes that's needed for calligraphy. I'd say I'm fully satisfied buying this guide. Note - it's better to use a plain A4 paper under each pages when you use markers that are dark and you think it might spread to the next page.

This a good book for beginners.. Starts with alphabets then shows how to join two letters and finally has words for practice... Only drawback is the paper is too thin to be used. So, practice in a separate note book.

It's a good book to practice hand lettering. A little bit of prior experience is needed. One thing to improve- the paper is very thin hence leaves stains while using brush pens/markers while practicing.

Book was awsome for beginners who love to practice calligraphy. It helps to practice calligraphy in a step by step procedure way.

The content of this book is really amazing. Substantial information about calligraphy were provided that were presented in a manner that readers can easily understand or follow. There’s an ample amount of practice pages. But here comes the problem on this book, the paper used on printing is kinda cheap and really thin which makes the experience of doing the practices annoying because of the blotting. They could have used a better paper on this.

This book is extremely well written. It has an organised index, well written explanations and the quality of the paper is really good. This is what I first started with and I would definitely say it’s worth it.

Liked it a lot. Just paper can be more thick for calligraphy. Rest totally in love with it
