Smaller batches
This is much cheaper than buying a one-time kit to make about 12 apples. I split it into smaller portions to make 10 to 12 apples at a time and it works great. The measurements aren't super precise, best to use a scale to measure them. Doesn't have to be the exact measurement just try to get it as close as you can! For 10 to 12 apples: 3.2 oz of the candy apple mix 13.3 oz of white sugar 2.6 oz of water 3. 16 Candy apple instead of buying a whole entire kit I got a big bag of a hundred popsicle sticks at Walmart for $2, a roll of cheap Saran wrap for $2, and this bag of mix that will make me about seven to eight small batches.. best way to save money instead of buying kits! Very happy with this stuff. I tried making candy apples on my own with sugar and It came out good, but without the Cherry flavoring it doesn't taste the same as this kind

Bought several the last 2 years but this year it is not staying on the apples. I found a second option that is working so much better

Perfect for Candy Apples
This is perfect for making Candied Fruit but remember to buy 5lbs of granulated white sugar as well. This is only cherry flavoring mix.

Best Candy Apples ever!
I have been using this product for many years and it makes great candy apples. For smaller bstches, I just use a 5:1 sugar:mix ratio. Never a problem. 1/4 cup makes 4 apples.
