LOVE THIS STUFF!!
I don't always write reviews, but I felt like I had to for this product just because it has worked so well for me! I got these two forward helix piercings as a birthday present to myself back in November and went all out with expensive/adorable jewelry. Totally in love. The healing process was going beautifully. Pain was gone in about two days, no swelling or bleeding, looked lovely, etc. Until one day I bumped my ear very, very hard, and my piercings immediately got swollen. Because of the heavy swelling, my saline fine mist spray was not getting into the piercing to clean it properly and I soon had a huge swollen ear, complete with bleeding, disgusting puss, and a lot of pain. As you can see in the picture on the right, my forward helix piercings were VERY angry/infected. (**Disclaimer: the picture on the right was actually taken about a month ago, because I didn't think to take a picture before I started using this soap, but I can assure you that it looked almost the same--worse actually.) I had literally tried EVERYTHING. Including popular piercing care products such as the "Piercing Care Healing Sea Salts & Botanicals" (which worked okay for me, but I didn't always have the time to soak my piercing for 5 minutes before leaving for work/school in the morning), as well as the H2Ocean spray that everyone raves about (also just okay, but did not produce strong results). Needless to say, I was in extreme discomfort and pain and I was heavily considering taking them out--which I really didn't want to do because I'm in love with the aesthetic, but it was becoming too much. Anyway, my last resort was this soap, and let me tell you... after DAY ONE I felt relief! Every day since then has only gotten better and better. Now after only ONE week of using this soap (day & night) the swollen/angry/bleeding/crusty piercings have FINALLY calmed down! I am so incredibly happy! I just can't believe how wonderfully it has worked for me. I am well aware that there is still a little redness around both piercings, but the results are unreal between the two photos. I am confident that after another week or so, they will look completely normal. **Important Note, if you decide to purchase this product you will not be mistaken, BUT for the first few days, I feel like it kind of fakes you out. For example, the pain significantly decreased after day one, but I felt that my piercings (particularly the top one) almost looked worse (more red, more swollen around the edges), but I believe that this is part of the healing process. I think that was the soap's doing--bringing everything out to the surface before it could leave my piercing. If this happens to you, please just keep using it, like I did. I promise it will get better! I think that someone else gave this product a poor rating for not continuing after the first wash (the same thing happened to them, piercing seemed to look worse), but please just do yourself a favor and keep going! I hope you found this review helpful! :-)

I swear by this soap. I will never use anything else for wounds, tattoos, or piercings!
This soap is the absolute best. I've never been able to find in stores, I've only ever received it directly from a tattoo/piercing parlor, or Amazon. It has carried me through many different body modifications as well as some injuries. I used the soap for my navel piercing, now six different tattoos, two ingrown toenail surgeries, and I am now using it for a nostril piercing and cartilage piercing. Just one bottle lasted me for a very long time as it suds up very well, and is thick and concentrated, but not too concentrated to the point of irritating the wound. The smell isn't as acrid as Dial soap would be, I actually find it pleasant. Overall this soap is a wonderful, gentle antibacterial cleansing soap that will not irritate wounds with dyes or perfumes or overly high concentrations as you might find in typical hand soaps. For piercings I would recommend filling a container with 3 parts water and 1 part soap and using that bottle for your entire healing process, as a consistent concentration helps your body balance. I like to shake the bottle, dip a q-tip in, and use that to clean the area (AFTER letting warm water run over the piercing for 5 minutes to soften the lymph). Update: I have developed very sensitive skin and am in the process of allergy patch testing and this soap has never once irritated my skin. Whenever I need my hands to be truly clean of all irritants i.e. so I can feel safe touching my eyes without causing an allergic reaction, this is what I use. I swear by this soap.

This product helped me with an infected piercing bump. *long read*
Ok so bare with me here but i do believe my daily routine with this product actually helped the swollen piercing bump on my nose piercing *not Keloid* (keloids are another type of scare tissue thingy i don’t know exactly but they’re two different things *do your research or consult a professional piercer*) I did use other products such as the H2Ocean piercing aftercare spray and the urban relief piercing bump oil. This product alone won’t give quick results but it’s great for infected piercings. First, i would wash my face with fragrance free soap. Next, I’ll put a small amount of the provon soap on the palm of my hand, then wet a qtip with water and rub the qtip with the soap to then clean the area my piercing is in gently (dry with a towel or paper towel just don’t rub it). Later i would spray another qtip with the piercing spray and again go around the area my nose piercing is in gently and then spray a whole cotton ball/pad and lay it on top of my piercing for 20 to 30 minutes (this is life changing) (you can do ten minutes but i personally thought longer was better) (that’s what she said). Anyways after having the cotton ball on for an x amount of time And letting it air dry, i would apply the piercing bump oil directly on and around the piercing bump and go on with my day. I really do believe this helped me, but since I’m such a freak i would do this three times a day cause i wanted to get rid of the horrendous bump on my face. I hope this helps someone and i apologize for the long reading i just needed to share this cause i suffered with the bump for three months and now it’s barley noticeable!!

The ONLY thing that heals my piercings.
I turned to provon soap out of desperation - a very angry conch piercing that simply would not heal, no matter what i did. i tried everything. i followed the APP piercer's protocol for almost a year -- sterile saline rinses, lint free cotton only for hard to soak areas, twice a day. i had my jewelry downgraded to shorter barbells, upgraded to titanium, high quality threadless pieces. i was still fighting constant soreness, pain, and irritation bumps 11 months down the road. APP protocol basically says you NEVER use anything but sterile saline on your piercing, but it blatantly wasnt working. So I decided to try this. What did I have to lose? My only other option was retiring the piercing entirely. Once a day in the shower i put a teensy amount on my finger and gently clean the piercing, jewelry, and any crusty bits, then rinse. In about a week, the soreness subsided and the irritation bumps started to disappear. It was a bit itchy, but if you've had a piercing you know its a positive sign of healing. After about 3 weeks? No more crusties, zero soreness, irritation bumps completely gone. I can move my jewelry, wear headphones, bump my piercing and experience ZERO pain. I got a new helix piercing recently and am using this soap on that as well and its healing like a dream - less than a month old and it can already be touched and moved with almost zero discomfort. I'll never use anything else.

Provon Antimicrobial Soap
I got a bottle to use to keep my new tattoo clean. I didn't develop an infection, but I don't know if that was from use of this soap, or good hygiene practices in general. It contains fragrance, but it didn't irritate my tattoo. Some people say they don't like the scent, saying it smells medicinal. I don't think it does, I like the scent. Gojo says this scent is citrus. I don't think it smells like citrus, but it does smell clean, and fresh. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. It makes great hand soap, as well. My only downside is that it does seem to take a lot to get a good lather in your hands (for using as hand soap.) And it is quite expensive for its size. I would love to have the pump bottle for washing hands, but at $16 a bottle last I saw, I will stick with regular, store-bought soap. I have switched to Tattoo Goo's soap for cleaning tattoos, as it contains the same active ingredient, does not contain fragrance, and contains olive oil, which may help the tattoo healing process. It does not, however, make as good a hand soap. It's also MUCH easier to find, as many tattoo shops and even some stores like Wal-Mart carry it (usually in the Tattoo Goo aftercare kit.)

A Must Have For New Tattoo After Care
Provon is one of the best products you can use for after care of a new Tattoo. It's effective, anti-microbial, soothing and helps to prevent an excessive loss of ink. it's the number one recommended anti microbial soap to use by renowned tattoo artists world wide. Unfortunately, it's not so easy to find anymore and although I see many reviewers complaining of the cost to me it's a steal. Products like Dial and Neosporin are known to ruin tattoos. Considering the average cost for a good Tattoo artist is between $150 - $400 per hour and even a quarter sleeve can take an average of 20-25 hours your investment in your tattoo is enormous. And not just in dollars. In time and patience, in detail work, touch up, fill in and correction you pay an incredible price for good work and a product like Provone protects that investment from the get go until your finished healing.Considering this little bottle for under $8 is enough to last for months it's an absolute bargain. Although I like to mix up care products, I'm especially fond of the Tattoo Goo line and A&D ointment - Provon is always part of the after care regime. There's nothing quite like it. My bottle came perfectly wrapped an protected with care. Delivery by USPS takes less than a week and costs under $2.00 Great product and great seller.

Works perfectly for my piercing!
I've had my tragus piercing for over a year now. I've been only cleaning it with water and H2Ocean - what my piercer recommended. After a year it still hadn't healed - it would get very red and swollen, then the swelling would go down and I would think it was getting better. Nope - the next week it would be incredibly swollen again. I still got crusties and everything. After looking at what other things people cleaned their piercings with, I bought some of this. I didn't realize it was like actual hospital soap? It has a spot to write a patient name and room number. So, I was a little skeptical. I usually use it in the shower - I put a little dab on my finger, rub it around the piercing on both sides, then let it sit for a little bit (about a minute). Then I rinse it off and I'm done. Since I started using it, my piercing hasn't been swollen at all! It looks so much better. The pierced cartilage feels the same size as the unpierced cartilage on my other ear. I haven't had any lymph or anything coming out of the piercing either. The bottle is kind of small, but a little goes a long way. I think I've used it about 20 times already and it barely looks like there is anything gone from the bottle. Highly recommend for piercings and whatever else you would like to use it with! Only downside is the smell, but I don't mind it that much.

... I took it out of the package I was disappointed because a quarter of it had spilled out
As soon as I took it out of the package I was disappointed because a quarter of it had spilled out. And for me, I only use this to clean piercings so that quarter could have lasted me a good two months so I'm pretty disappointed about that. I buy this stuff from my tattoo shop so I know that even if it's new it doesn't come with a seal but still, a whole spilled out. Figured I'd order it online instead of driving. Anyway, other than that, the product is fine and works, I've used it for my new tattoos as well and it works great for that as well
