Its a very good book one that should be read by all people who are thinking to jump into the stock markets. The author has done a terrific job of putting his thoughts and own experiences in a nice simple manner. I do not know if the methods are fool proof but I'll definitely try them and see the results. In fact it has given me a few more ways in which i can check before i invest in a stock. It will surely complement with the other method that I follow while investing one which has given me similar returns to what the author keeps mentioning as the target. return rate.P.S.: I maybe nitpicking here, but the work could've been edited and proof read for some of the errors that I found. Nonetheless, it is a good book indeed.

Thanks Prasenjit for writing such an excellent book. Frankly this is my first book reading on equity investments and will be the last book too. It is very crispy to the point and everything that the retail investors should know about stock before investing. I also liked all those practical examples. Even after recent market crash, I did not loose the confidence now. Keep up the good work and I am confident that our hard earn money can be invested on right stocks by following the key parameters mentioned in the book.

Its a must read book for all novice investors. The book is written in simple layman language not like other so many complicated books in the market about investment. It is completely filled with real life examples on how to avoid common mistakes made by investors, clearly articulates various aspects of stock investing like, common mistakes, how to pick stocks, when to buy , when to sell and how to deal with market crashes...

I was looking for some basics of stock market investment for myself, a person who has no idea about how financial world works. This book fulfils that requirement. There's not too much technical jargon, language is lucid and a sincere attempt is made to explain complex things in simple language with focus on how to be a safe yet productive investor. Recommended for people who are not from financial world but still would like to get in stock market.

Every chapter is adopted to my scenario with plain English, all bad examples are 100% suites to me. I would have at least stop losing my hard earning money if this was written couple of years back. It has to be written on the cover that this is regarding indian stock marker,Although many aspects are shared with any other stock market, but the structure of the book, the idea, the stories, the message that this book has is regarding indian market and not any other one!!!Unless you want to invest in indian stock market and/or you live in india this book is not for you

This book is a must read for everyone. It's written straight from the heart and they say if you do anything from the heart, you can't go wrong. What Prasenjit has tried to do through this book is to change the way we look at things in the Stock Market. Buying a Stock = Being Part owner in the business.The fact is in Life or Business - there is always ups and downs (nothing moves in Straight line). The idea is to find great companies at an early stage and if Business grows then profit grows and so does the Share Price. Having a Stock Portfolio is like being a Part owner of 5-10 great companies in sectors which have got tail wind and expected to grow fast for next 2-3 years.This is what all Big Business people like TATA, Birla, Ambani do but sadly People don't understand this philosophy especially the ones in Lower Income group and Middle class. A common man gets his dose of Information or I should say Advice from Media (Newspaper/ television) and this free advice is seriously injurious to health. Please try to read 10 pages of this book every day and encourage your friends and family or your children to do the same. It doesn't matter if they invest in stocks or not. I am 100% sure they will find some golden nuggets that can serve them for their whole life.
