Great tool from a great company!
These are such solid, well made tools! I have four of their various tools so far, and there are several others on my wish list. :) There would be many more to wish for, if I was serious about gardening - it seems like they have a specialty tool for every need. The trowels have a thicker metal blade than the usual stamped stuff you may be used to, but the edges are ground to a bevel, so they are thinner/sharper - making the digging easier. I am so happy to find an honorable company that makes quality products and stands behind them! DeWit will be my garden tool company forever! Yes, they are more expensive than walking in to HD or L, but these tools will last so much longer, and will probably outlive me... It's been said before, but I'll say it again - a good tool really does make the work easier. When the tool actually helps you, rather than you having to accommodate/work around the tool - for tool weakness, design flaws, etc... I just wish I'd discovered these tools years ago!

I love my trowel
I love my trowel. Oh it’s the perfect size and very well made.

Excellent sturdy trowel
If you’re looking for one of the strongest trowels out there that won’t bend or break, get this one. I am a farmer and use these strong trowels for grubbing out deep bindweed or quack grass rhizomes, and prying out fairly large rocks when encountered. This is well built and very strong unlike almost all of the trowels out there, sharp too. For casual home gardener maybe it’s overkill but should last a lifetime if cared for.

Perfect transplant shovel
Like all DeWitt tools, this transplant trowel is perfect! It is strong and made to last a lifetime. I have owned one for 13 years and it is still like new, which is why I purchased one as a gift for my friend. You want a long slender blade on a transplant shovel, and this one has just that. It has the perfect amount of curve and sharpness. The handle and blade are perfectly balanced for a comfortable hold. The trowel is not too heavy for a smaller or older person.

Good Value for the Price Point
I own three DeWit tools and find them to be well made and very good value for the money. Sure, you can buy other brands often for a lot less, but I have found they do not age well and often are useless after just one season. Sometimes with some items, it is best to pay more and get a truly good item that will last. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, so pay for quality and know you have invested your money well. I am just getting back into a little light gardening again after many years, and it is a pleasure to work with these tools. Take care of them, and they will take care of you. Highly recommend DeWit garden tools.

Very good trowel
The trowel is very strong and it is sharp. This makes it good for weeding and digging small holes for planting. We have three now so that if we misplace one, we have another.

One of the best trowels I've owned.
One of my favorite garden trowels. I bought two more after using one of them. I also have DeWit's rock and root trowel, and wish they made a hybrid of the two. I need a narrower trowel than the Transplant Trowel, with a stronger stem, for digging rocks and roots in hard ground. I've bent this one a couple of times, so I turn to the rock and root trowel when I need something stronger, but wish the rock and root trowel had a sharper point, like this one. This one is the one I reach for to dig weeds in the lawn or transplant flowers. Not so much for digging ivy roots in clay soil.

After breaking three cheap trowels a few days apart, I decided to try this one and I'm extremely sastisfied with my purchage. The edge is sharp making it easy to dig (I used it to plant 2 000+ bulbs and it worked great and transplant a bunch of perennials) even in clay soil. Super sturdy too!

Best you can get around here. Forget Gardena and others. For our clay soil-the best.
