Product description The Best Fogless Mirror you will ever own. Review: Best shaving mirror I've found (and I've tried a LOT of them) - As others have stated on here, I have owned most of the shower shaving mirrors on the market over the years. Until this one, they have ranged from passable to horrendous. Most are too small, lack clarity, have no adjustability or fog too easily (or all of these). I've been using this mirror for several weeks now and feel like I can give it a fair review. Size-wise it is 7" round and has a HUGE viewing area. It adheres to the wall using suction and doesn't move at all. It is on a swivel arm and allows plenty of adjustability even though you really don't need it since you can already see so much in it. It comes fog-free right out of the box (that is, you don't have to pour water in the back, put a chemical on the glass, etc). I'm noticing it has started to lose its fog-free properties but as I have done with other mirrors, I simply rub some soap or shaving cream on it and it works like new. I realize it's expensive but IMO it is well worth the price. It does everything better than the other shower shaving mirrors out there and seems like it will hold up for a long time. If you're in the market for a quality shaving mirror, give this one a try. Review: absolutely the best shower mirror I have ever used - and I ... - absolutely the best shower mirror I have ever used - and I have tried several! This works like magic - but, make sure you follow the directions closely and do not wash with abrasives. Most of the negative reviews I've seen were direct results from people not using as directed. Occasionally if it is especially cold in the bathroom and the shower is very hot you may have to re-splash the mirror once or twice during use, but that is really no issue. Surface is a nice size, good, clear reflection, and doesn't streak or fog up quickly, mounting bracket is very secure and ingenious. This thing should easily affix to any smooth surface in your shower. Mine has not budged since mounting and the angle of mirror gets moved around a lot in our shower to clean the glass door it's attached to. The included razor holder is nothing special, but it is a bit larger than most, so holds a larger razor, has clung to glass door with no issue, and it was free. If you are considering a fog-free shower mirror, you cannot go wrong with this one! Has made shaving a much better experience.

Good mirror with little fogging
Yes, this mirror does work well, but no mirror will remain fog free for ever. Mounting of the suction cup will require an extremely smooth surface to avoid from having the mirror fall every few days on to the floor. I have polished marble in my shower and I consider that to be very smooth, but the mirror fell from that surface within a few days. After I moved it to the glass door, the mirror have remained in place without incident. Although it is not the exact spot that I wanted the mirror, it has stayed very well. Immediately after installing the mirror, the fog resistance was very high. I could get through a whole shower without any fogging. However, if you follow their recommendations of applying hot water to the mirror surface, this will aid in keeping the fog off for about 3-4 minutes at a time. In essence, I have to apply hot water to the mirror twice while shaving. In the past I have used soap suds on other mirrors, and I'm sure that while allow for longer times of usage without fogging, but the hot water works fine. Great product, but you need a non-porous surface to mount it.
This is a very good mirror, big, easy to adjust, and because it tilts, one can mount it above the "splash level' so it stays clean and bright. I had no trouble mounting it, but it fell down after about an hour, I supposed because the tile was porous and permitted air to leak in and break the suction. Upper West includes in the package a plastic disk with some glue to mount on the wall, so that the mirror has a non-porous surface to mount to in case your tile is porous. So I glued up the disk, waited 24 hours for the glue to completely set, and then put up the mirror. Again I had no trouble mounting it, but again it fell down after about an hour. But this time the disk came with it. The problem was that the glue was not so great (I had cleaned the wall thoroughly beforehand so that wasn't the problem). I checked the mirror suction itself by mounting it to a glass partition, and it stayed up just fine. So I then went to the local hardware store and bought some outdoor (waterproof) 3M double sided tape, mounted the disk with that, and the mirror has been happily stuck to the wall ever since. I bought a second one for another house, and there all went well from the outset; the tile was well glazed and the mirror stayed up just fine. The provided razor holder is a bit flimsy, and I bought a stainless steel holder to use instead.

Good idea, poor design execution, overpriced.
First off this is all plastic. Not exactly what I expected for $30. The mirror part works fine. The suction grip clamp is pretty good idea but in practice is very sensitive to surface texture. I'm an engineer and there are two reasons the design is flawed. Stop reading if you don't want technical details. The durometer (fancy engineering name for hardness) of the suction grip is too hard. If you compare this other suction devices you can see this. I suspect the Chinese manufacturer substituted something at some point and the designers have not found out. If the durometer were reduced this would work much better. I have smooth Corian shower walls and it would not stick to the Corian. The second design issue is that the suction does not work is because the suction cup itself comes with dust on it. Probably from the dirty manufacturing environment. I cleaned the suction cup and my wall with alcohol and got better results. Now maybe it lasted for a minute. My next step was to soften the durometer and improve the sealing with a very, very thin application of petroleum jelly. I put enough of the jelly on just so that is barely there. The best way would be to put it on and then wipe it clean so you can not see it but can feel it. This softens the suction cup and helps with the seal. Now I was able to get a good seal but it would last less than a day. After doing some experimenting I found the cup would stick very well to: - Glass - Stainless Steel - Glazed ceramic (toilet top) - Granite All of these surfaces are perfectly flat with zero imperfections. None of the Corian surfaces in my house were smooth enough (and they are pretty smooth!). The kit came with a plastic round plate and some glue that I decided to try. The idea was to glue the plate to the rough surface and then try the suction on the round plastic plate. Well, the cup would not stick to the plastic that was included. Now I became frustrated. I ended up putting the mirror on the shower door metal frame and it has held for several days. It works I'll keep using it but feel like it was not a good value in the end. Just fix the design and it could be great.

Fantastic fog free shower mirror
This is an excellent mirror. I purchased many over the course of the last decade and all of them either fall off the wall (The suction cup doesn't hold) or they fog up. This one has a locking mechanism that pulls back on the suction cup and firmly locks it to the wall. I am very impressed with the design of this. This mirror does fog, but only in situations where you put it in a wet place such as a shower, and it doesn't get any water spray on it. In such cases, you simply throw some water on it before you use it and it remains Fog free. I mounted mine just beside the shower spray head, so it gets a constant drizzle of water. The subsequent result is that the mirror stays at the same temperature of the water in the shower, and does not fog. An additional renovation you can make, and something that I'm planning, is to run a very small water line off The showerhead outlet, and direct it to spray the back of the mirror. That would also keep any shower mirror from fogging up. Of all the mirrors out there designed for this purpose I am most impressed with this one and have already purchased a second one for someone else as a gift.

DID NOT LAST A YEAR. Attractive, but NOT fog-free.
This mirror is very nice! The suction cup is strong. The mirror itself pivots easily, stays in the position you set it in, and is pretty attractive. However, my experience is that it is NOT a fog-free mirror. It stayed fog-free through 2 or 3 showers, but now it fogs up, just as any other mirror would. It's still a good, sturdy shower mirror, so I will be keeping it. ________________________________ Update: After 8 months of use, this mirror is now garbage. It started looking like there was something built up on the surface. Thinking it was maybe soap buildup, I tried rubbing it first with my finger, which did not work. Then, I tried using a Magic Eraser on it. Melamine sponge, while mildly abrasive, should take any buildup right off of a glass mirror without damaging it. Not so, with this mirror. A few swipes with the Magic Eraser, and the mirror is completely foggy and sticky. It is ruined. It appears that there is some kind of coating over the mirror, which had begun to peel (hence, the spot that I thought was buildup). It must be the coating, and not the glass itself, that reacted poorly to the Magic Eraser. But the coating should last for longer than 8 months! It was behind the shower head, so it did not regularly come into contact with water and/or soap products. I am disappointed with the longevity of this purchase.

Nice shower mirror
The mirror is a pleasure to use until it falls to the floor.
