Best pet hair remover... ever!
I have always had at least one dog and I'm used to coping with some dog hair, but I've never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove. Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last "not on furniture" dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol' American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara's hair is like nothing I've seen before... once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets ... they all leave a lot behind. Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits' end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can't sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others' pants. Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I've tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber... maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!! In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara's hair (it gets our other dog's "easy hair" on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable! Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again! The only downsides that I can see are: - Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes. - The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a "me" problem.) - The chom chom is 7.5" wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they're being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker's car to lunch during the workday.) BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGERI’m
I rescued a tiny black kitten at eight weeks old, and while he is the joy of my life, apparently he sheds enough to knit a second cat. I have four gray microfiber barstools along a seven-foot bar in my apartment. I live alone, no kids, no food messes at the counter — so imagine my horror when I moved the stools to sweep before having company and realized they were absolutely coated in fine, tiny black hairs. My cat loves to leap up there to nap and escape the dog during zoomie time, and wow… the evidence was everywhere. I tried everything. My full-size vacuum with attachments? Nope. My handheld Black & Decker? Nothing. Packing tape? Useless. I was honestly starting to panic because I have an important home visit coming up and didn’t want anyone leaving with cat hair all over a nice outfit. I even considered replacing or reupholstering the stools. Out of desperation, I ordered the ChomChom Roller. It arrived about 20 minutes before I needed it, and I immediately put it to work. I’ll admit — after everything else failed, I was skeptical. But within minutes (less than eight for all four stools), they looked brand new. I wish I had taken before-and-after photos because the difference was unbelievable. It works like the “magic eraser” of pet hair. You roll it back and forth with a little elbow grease, and it just pulls the hair up and traps it inside. When you’re done, you press the button, empty the chamber, and there it is — all the fur you didn’t think would budge. It’s weirdly satisfying. I also tried it on my gray sofa and loveseat with the same incredible results. No sticky tape. No disposable sheets. No cords. Just simple, effective, reusable magic. If you have pets and fabric furniture, do yourself a favor and get this. Buy one for your friends while you’re at it. My home looks immaculate, my stress level dropped about ten points, and my inner neat freak is absolutely thrilled. I cannot recommend this enough.

Works great and is so easy to use
This is really the best pet hair remover I ever had. So convenient. You don’t have to keep on cutting small pieces of sticky material to get rid of the hair. It worth its price.

This Chom Chom Works Well, But It Does Have Its Limitations.
This Chom Chom lint and hair roller does work as advertised IF it is used correctly. We mainly use this Chom Chom to clean up the hair left on the faux leather furniture by our constantly shedding Sable German Shepherd. It does indeed work really well for that purpose. This Chom Chom also picks up little pieces of lint off of the furniture very well. However, this Chom Chom is NOT going to vacuum the entire house by itself, so don't expect miracles from it. This Chom Chom is designed to be used in short back and forth strokes, and not long rolling motions, as the hair collector bar does not turn 360 degrees (it flips back and forth). The hair collector pads are designed to collect hair and lint by building up static electricity through friction, and then the squeegee deposits the hair and lint into the easy to empty storage compartment. If the Chom Chom is used in one long continuous direction/motion it will not work correctly, and I am quite sure that is where the very few negative reviews are coming from. Also, as specifically stated in the included instructions, this Chom Chom is NOT designed to be used directly on humans or pets. It is not a sticky clothing lint roller or a dog/cat brush. The instructions also state that this Chom Chom will not work on hard or smooth services. It needs some friction from rough furniture material in order to build up static electricity on the cleaning pads. As I previously stated, this Chom Chom does work very well IF it used as directed. Just don't use it for unintended purposes, and then leave a bad review because the instructions were ignored or not read at all. While I would have given this Chom Chom 5 stars just because it works so well for its intended purpose, it does have a couple of shortcomings. First off, if a finger is not placed over the door latch of the hair storage compartment while using the Chom Chom, the door constantly flips open and the collected hair goes everywhere (I learned this surprise the hard way). Maybe I received a Chom Chom with weak door latch? Also, this Chom Chom is made of cheap/thin plastic, so it will flex if too much pressure is placed on it during use. Also, the thin plastic construction does bring the long term durability of the Chom Chom into question. In conclusion, I do highly recommend this Chom Chom, as it does work very well for cleaning pet hair as advertised, IF it is used correctly. However, with the weak storage compartment door latch, and the cheap plastic construction, I can only rate the Chom Chom 4 stars. Personally, I only paid $18 for the Chom Chom on Amazon Prime Day, so cost was really not an issue just to try it out. However, it did take over a week to receive the Chom Chom, with 2 day delivery actually being shown in the product listing, so just be prepared in advance that the delivery of the Chom Chom may be delayed due to its immense popularity. However, that is not the fault of Amazon or the Chom Chom itself. UPDATE: This Chom Chom works so well at cleaning up dog hair that we now own 3 of them that we keep and use around the house. The strange part is that even though the name "Chom Chom" is technically a proper noun, we now use it as a verb in our house, as in "I just Chom-Chomed the couch." Good stuff! UPDATE #2: I recently purchased the Black & Decker version of this Chom Chom hair & Lint Removal Tool (I left a comprehensive review for the B&D product as well) for comparison with this Chom Chom. While both this Chom Chom and the B&D versions of this tool work in exactly the same manner, and equally well, the B&D version is a higher quality product, IMHO. The B&D tool has a thicker rubberized purple handle, a translucent purple lint storage compartment lid, and it operates much more quietly, without the occasional loud squealing noise that this Chom Chom makes. The lint compartment door on the B&D tool also stays securely closed until it is actually opened by the user. The best part is that the B&D hair and lint removal tool is about half the regular price as this Chom Chom version (go figure). I gave the B&D tool 5 stars compared to 4 stars for this Chom Chom. I invite people to try both products and see what they think for themselves. I am sure that they will agree with my opinions on both of these very good hair and lint removal tools.

Great Pet Hair Removal Product
The ChomChom Roller Pet Hair Remover is a great product. I have a Dalmatian who sheds brown and white. It was so easy to remove the hair off leather furniture that we protect with furniture covers. It was very effective in removing her hair from leather furniture. It did not cause any damage to the leather. I did not find it overly sticky. The handle makes it easy to use. I love that I can easily reuse this product. Highly recommend.

Good pet hair removal tool
I was skeptical at first because of so many other tools that I have tried that have not worked at all, but I have found that this one works very well, easy to use an easy to clean. I have small shorthaired dogs that shed constantly and this tool works very well, I would recommend it to others.

Eureka - It Works
Bye Bye sticky rollers. At least their use will be minimized. This gizmo works-really works. Cat hair begone. I think I got back years of my life with this roller. Quick, efficient and cleans up without too much effort. Well done!

3.8 for not working on the pillow cover
Works well but not on every fabric. It does a great job with the ottoman that has a velvet like fabric. It also worked on the couch cover which is a heavier fabric. It struggled with the pillowcase for the couch pillows; hair was dragged across the pillow. The chomchom roller pet hair remover helps pick up some fur, reducing the amount of sticky paper rollers you have to use, but it's not as amazing as some would say, it definitely depends on the fabric. It's a decent addition to help combat the fur. Don't throw out the sticky rollers yet.

Worth every cent and more
Where has this been all my life?! I have a lab x staffy who sheds so much that I wonder how he isn’t bald. This just entirely got the fur off my bedding and couch in 5 minutes flat with no effort, a job that normally takes double the time with the vacuum and still leaves a lot of fur behind, or needing to go through an entire roll of a sticky lint roller. I was hesitant due to the cost, but I’m amazed it’s totally worth it. No complaints, 10 stars if I could.

Très efficace sur les poils de chats
Excellent ! J'étais sceptique et avais un peu peur d'investir au regard du prix... Mais je dois avouer que ça bat largement tous les autres outils utilisés pour retirés les poils de chats sur mes habits noirs.

Still my number #1 after four years
This thing EATS cat hair. It's the only thing that works, time and time again. I hate using single use rollers, and sticky washable ones are annoying to clean. This one works well, it's simple, it's fast, it's effective. My only complaint is that it can be tricky to use on small/cramped areas due to the size of the roller. But that negative is completely overriden by the fact that I bought this 4 years ago and it is STILL the item I reach for to get ride of cat hair
