This is such a cool little stove. I've bought and used different versions of these since I was old enough to hike and camp and this has been my favorite 1. It packs down small and is pretty light, it doesn't have a bunch of pieces to assemble and the large side door makes it easy to add more fuel. The most notable is how stable it is. I use it with a mess kit but you could use a full size cast iron pan on it without any problems. I liked it so much I've bought 1 for my son and 1 for nephew to use and wish I had something this nice when I was there age.

Fabulous little stove/grill/fire pit. I took this on the beach when there was a constant wind and it performed amazingly. Was able to start a fire with a simple Bic lighter easily as the inside was protected from the wind. I've used this several times as it's easy to start, easy to keep a fire going, and effective. As a grill it was a quick and no hassle way to cook some tuna fillets. I've used it as a fire pit by placing it on a metal table. For other surfaces perhaps a stone tile would work as well, but I haven't tried it. It also cools down quickly. It was cool to the touch by the time we finished eating and packing it up is a breeze. As one who owns multiple fire pits, this is the best due to its size, portability, and usefulness. Highly recommend.

I did not open the box for a few days, wondering if I should keep it. I finally opened it and was pleasantly surprised by its good quality and simplicity. It is in with our other winter emergency tools that we keep in the car.

Overall this thing is great and a good value. On my unit the carry handle slightly interfered with the door. I made a slight bend in both handles. This does two things: it put tension on it so it stays where it is moved. It also pulled it up so it will not block the door from closing. I also added another stainless split ring on the door latch. This is so it doesn’t lay flat against the door. It gives a place to grab when it’s hot and it’s not flat against a hot stove door. This unit folds flat and seems sturdy enough to last a while. I purchased a pot-holder grate for the top right here on amazon that provides space when using a larger pan. This way it doesn't block the top totally off. It’s a great value in the small size.

Thick and heavy, pefect for long term use. Weights around 910grams/32oz or 2lbs. Simple to set up, no need for instructions. This is the smaller verson. The bigger version probably weights more and wouldnt be ideal for backpacking.

This product is absolutely fabulous, even though I burned my bloody hand cuz I tipped one of the handles into live coals and didnt notice. Beastly little bugger gets wicked hot with very little effort. Per DNR in Iowa this meets the criteria to utilize outdoors anywhere as long as the fire is contained in the manufactured container and poses no fire risk, he was super hot so Im glad the whiney Karen complained about my cooking... at a CREEK. (Not the video in the review) I highly recommend to any nature lover that needs a decent stove while theyre out. Its collapsible, its design burns hot as hell so you dont needs as much fuel and it doesnt produce as much smoke. The pot holder top has claws on hinges to accomodate small or large pots or pans and was SO worth the extra couple dollars to have. It IS a bit heavier than I expected but for us that hike seriously, the weight isnt too bad. Cools off very quick when youre finished... only downside i can think of is the ring for the door hinge is too small... i had to design my own tool to open and close it. Which, you dont need to very often except to stoke or stir as its by far easier to slide the pan over and toss some sticks in the top. Again... I FREAKING LOVE THIS STOVE! even the sexy DNR dude was amazed by it.

However, invented this probably became rich and they deserve it. It’s the most clever little gadget product I’ve ever purchased and will come in handy if there’s ever a power outage to enable safe, cooking outdoor outdoors.
