I just got into vinyl record playing, and I was worried either my player or my records were messed up, but after using this cleaning kit the records are playing beautifully as they should. Instructions were clear, the three included brushes are very effective in their own right, and amplified by the included cleaning solution. I had better results when using the velvet brush as instructed - spray solution on one side, and run the player (without needle) and apply the sprayed side-down onto the record. Then, roll it towards the middle and then the back of the brush to re-absorb the solution and dry the record. After that, a quick rub with a microfiber towel and left to dry for about 5 minutes and the record is brand new again. The storage bag is a huge plus, and it all fits neatly inside. As a bonus, they include a screw-on cap you can use to replace the spray nozzle on the cleaning solution, which is ideal for long-term storage. I love it when so much thought and care goes into a simple product. Very impressed.

I like this little set a lot. The product to be well made, and all items included are useful. I just recently got a turntable and a bunch of records… A lot of them are old and haven’t been played in a long time. Even if they are not scratched, they get dust on the needle. Which the needle cleaner takes care of perfectly. It also has a degree of caked on dust That requires one to use the velvet cleaner with the spray. I’ve been impressed with what has come off of the records so far. After using it, I have almost always improved the sound, or completely gotten rid of any skips. The brush is very useful for a quick dedusting. Glad I got it.

Getting back into playing vinyl records and have been hitting used record and secondhand stores for some great finds for my eclectic tastes. That said, these secondhand albums which tend to be in good shape are also usually very dirty. So I do an initial cleaning, then fine tune it with the Vinyl Buddy kit. Using the big velvet brush and a few sprays of the cleaning solution on it I brush a record while spinning on the turntable. Then if needed a follow up with the smaller microfiber brush. I use the stylus cleaner in between albums to remove anything it may have accumulated. I like the kit because of the high quality brushes and that it also came with a stylus brush. I wish the cleaning solution came in a larger bottle, because if you’re doing a lot of cleaning you’ll need more, sooner than later, but if you’re not doing lengthy deep cleaning, the included amount of solution should last for quite a while. I found the easiest way to clean the big velvet brush is to wipe it off against the grain using a microfiber cloth. Very happy and content with my purchase and would recommend.

Just got back into the using vinyl records, the record buddy provides the necessary cleaning tools & work well.
