BOSS Audio Systems ASK904B.64 Marine Boat 6.5 inch Speakers and 4 Channel Amplifier - 500 High Output, Bluetooth Remote, USB and Auxiliary, Waterproof Pouch

When brainstorming to add a stereo to my Yamaha Waveventure PWC, I came across this system and it seemed to fit my needs and the size of where I intended to put it. I wanted a way to listen to some music when floating or beached and didn't want to permanently modify my ski. So I installed this complete system in a spare front storage compartment. I'm also adding 2 3.5" speakers into a set of spare mirror housings. The system itself is small, light, and came with everything and seems to be well made, I'll update after use for some time and see how it holds up. For the price, I don't expect it to last forever. I tested it hooked to a YB14 series battery which is smaller than the one in my ski. I didn't hook up an ammeter, but this seems to draw very little power. I ran it on the bench via Bluetooth from my phone for 3 hours. Battery still showed 12.7 volts and charger said battery was still 95% capacity after the test. Battery drain being a concern, I'm very happy with this. The included speakers sound good. Not great, but as expected or better. For my needs, quite acceptable. The controls are easy to use. Blue tooth range is great. I tried it at up to 40 ft away and it worked fine. I'm pleased so far and have no complaints. Update 7/18/2017: One year later, still going strong and works as well as the day it was installed! Update 5/10/2018 Almost 2 years later and still works as well as it did when new. And it lives a rough wet life in the front of my Waverunner. It has been moved to my 98 XL1200 which uses the same front storage tub and gets a lot of looks, listens and thumbs up for having a stereo in my ski. I also put the small Polk audio 3.5” speakers I had in the mirrors of my wave venture in the mounting plate. Still love this setup! Update: 10/25/2018 Still working like New after another season in the ski. And in the off season I use it in my shop for a stereo. Still very happy! Update: 4/12/2019 Still going............. All winter in my shop. And now back in the ski for another season on the water. Still works perfectly! Update 7/29/2019 You guessed it.........still working perfectly.

After evaluating many options on the market, I bought this amplifier, read many reviews, and compare different options. I chose this one because it already had the speakers included. It is not easy to choose the right speaker for an amplifier since the amplifiers have RMS and nominal power, which changes if the speaker is 4 or 8. It is not easy to choose the right speaker, so I thought it was very good that already the amplifier will bring the speakers. Less task to acquire the whole set. I was surprised by the size of the amp. It is really small. I thought the sound would not be that good, but I was wrong. The sound surprised me! It is very good! My boat is a 21-foot bowrider type and with the engine running the old audio system just couldn't be heard, so I decided to change it for a better system, and this one works well. Pros: - The small size of the amp really makes it easy to hide it inside the boat - Bluetooth connection is extremely easy - The controls screen facilitates everything - It is a totally marine product - The speakers are easy to install and have the patterns to make the holes. - The USB connector is very good. Read MP3. - It is a very practical system and the sound is very good. Now my friends call it "the party boat" :) - the price is right. Cons - I don't have any for now.

Installed in my new 2025 Avid Rogue 20. Install was SUPER easy. I watched like 3 videos and felt like i had the jist of it. Mounted to the center console and it's pretty loud. I have a yamaha 150 and even WOT the music is easily audible. For the price, this is it. IF you're an audiophile, or looking for a better bass response, you're gonna have to add a sub and amp.

I purchased this on the strength of the reviews I read, looking for a stereo system for my refurbished pontoon boat. Easy to install; the manual is straightforward and also can be downloaded from this site, which I have done as I have had to refer to it. However, much to my dismay, with my 30-year two-stroke Mercury and a single battery powering my boat, the stereo would work great with the engine off, but when I turned the engine on it would cut in and out. Not acceptable. I came back and looked again at the reviews and found some with the same problem, which I must have overlooked initially. I thought this stereo system was a lost cause after reading those reviews and that I would have to replace and be out the money. However, in the refurbishment of my used, 30 year old boat, I added a second battery and a new 4-stroke Mercury 75, and the stereo works great, as it is supposed to. No cutting out. I wonder if the electrical source from the old engine was not as powerful as the new engine's alternator, or if perhaps having two batteries available when the engine is on gave more sustainable power, or perhaps both or maybe there is another reason. So my 1 rating because it did not work has turned to a 4. I can't give it 4 because there is no mention by the manufacturer that there could be a problem, nor what causes the problem or how to fix it. I also installed a new custom-built console, and the stereo's controller is installed above the steering wheel. That is also where I mounted the USB-1/4" input jack. I am very happy now that it is all installed and works properly.

Well, you need to be fairly "handy" to install and fully enjoy this baby. Amazing sound once you get everything all hooked up correctly. I ran my power to a completely separate battery in the hopes of eliminating all the interference when the boat is running. So far, I haven't figured that out. When the motor is not running and I'm running this unit from the separate battery it kicks butt! The secret is to mount your speakers where you take full advantage of the bass vibration through the fiberglass body of your boat. I bought the four speaker version and it knocks my socks off although it's just a 16 foot bowrider. Overall very happy with this unit and the sound. I think the unit cutting out has nothing to do with this unit or the quality, it's just a wiring issue that seems to be very common on all boats. I will say this though: the key is to get a very solid ground. I did not have great success or great sound until I went straight to the auxiliary battery. Now it rocks. I've had no issues with the Bluetooth connecting other than normal Bluetooth issues. Keep it fairly close and it picks it up perfectly. I highly recommend this unit. I think my only issues are user error in getting the unit to perform at the same time that my engine is running.

So I've installed this box and everything worked great. I put this on a 1929 roadster very loud car and still heard the music just fine; except that the lights in the remote weren't turning on. When I went to investigate why I found the illumination wire was pinched and grounded out. When I got it loose the lights came on on the remote...fixed right? No, now the volume won't go up...it beeps twice when you are at the maximum volume but it sounds very quiet like headphones quiet, turned up the volume on my iPhone all the way still nothing, tried the aux cord same thing. My only thought is that the "protection circuit" won't let the device do its thing....kinda frustrating, but its not the manufactures fault. Just tell whoever it installing to be very careful not to pinch any wires or you'll be hosed. Update: I simply unpaired my iPhone and then repaired, everything works again...wow. Would be nice if the connected controller was not rubbery and if the cable was 2 feet instead of 16.

This stereo is amazing when the boat motor is off, as soon as the boat starts we lose the stereo, it is connected to a stand alone battery and we can't figure it out. Called BOSS tech support and they couldn't help us.

I was a little nervous based off of some of the reviews but man this thing sounds so good! we did order some bass speakers so we can have more base but they put out a surprisingly loud sound which is perfect for our boat and even without the subwoofers it still sounds pretty dang good ! Very impressed and easy to install! Haven’t had it long enough to know if is truly water resistant time will tell so I still have that a 5

Se adapta a mis necesidades por completo. Llegaron en un periodo de 10 a 13 días. Para mi gusto solo quedaría que fuese PRIME. Por el resto son perfecto
