Great value - high performing
Great value as the cleats alone are £15, work just as well as the top end £200 odd dura ace and look good. Well made and usual shimano quality. Ease of clipping in is better than higher priced ones. Realistically the weight saving of the higher end ones is not really worth the money,

Perfect for the money

Used on a spin bike
As a road cyclist I have these fitted to an indoor spin bike as I prefer using the SPD-SL system to the cage and strap setup that some spin bikes use. Easy to install and I’ve had no issues whatsoever and the same goes for the supplied yellow cleats too. All good.

Very good value for money, Shimano brand so you know that it is going to be good, aluminium so not the lightest but in you want carbon then add another £150 they are ideal for the ordinary road biker and will last years

Just what I wanted
My first venture into Clippless pedals wasn’t great based on the fact they where too stiff to eject out of and I think forcing the foot out of the pedal damaged my knee .I have been using normal pedals with toe clips and this has been fine however on a new racing bike they look naff so after some investigation I found these Shimano RS500 pedal and they are great with easy ejection and being Shimano the pedals come with a set of cleats good value and I would recommend.

Pedals great, included cleats wearing way too quickly
Pedals work exactly as expected and reviewed but the cleats included in the package I bought are of much lower quality than when I've bought the same cleats as a separate item (an issue lots of other riders have flagged about this bundle from Shimano). After 4 cold-weather rides, no more than 130kms in total, the yellow 'stops' on both cleats are heavily worn and mis-shapen. My feet aren't falling out of the pedals yet but I'm hoping they will last a good while longer!

Easy to install and solid build for the price.

I bought them for my girlfriend. It was the first time that she used pedals with clips and it was a good choice. They are really sturdy and you can adjust them easily so they unclip easily. Bonus: they come with the Shimano SMH-11 cleats!
