Fit perfectly and worked on first crank. And it was less than 1/3 price of the identical OEM starter. Very good value.

Installed on a John Deere x340. It took about 45 minutes and was an exact fit. Works great. Fair price. I priced the replacement starter at the local JD dealer and it was over $300 and they didn’t have it in stock.

I have a John Deere garden tractor and it's well known they have a problem with the starting circuit. The best fix is to install a relay in the circuit. In the trouble shooting/discovery process you find that the original John Deere starters cost over 6x the cost of DB starters. The DB starters are the best alternative at a fraction of the cost and DB's customer service is top notch; they stand behind their products. The starters are not OEM quality but are a really good alternative. I have been a customer for 10 years.

3rd or 4th starter I've ordered for different motors and all have worked perfectly. Comes with test sheet showing volt and amp draw which is rare. I've bought several electrical parts from D.B. and will buy all of them from them in the future.

I received the starter on Saturday and I installed the next day. The installation took 30 minutes on a John Deere zero turn mower. One turn of the key and I was back in business for the year. The price was right and I am very happy!!!!!
