This is a quality popcorn scoop like you see at the movie theaters. The angled handle makes it easy to scoop from sides and corners. However, this scoop is for the larger popcorn machines. If you have one of the smaller ones, this scoop will be too large. Plus, if you're a parent who is more interested in buying the little paper popcorn bags so every one of the kiddies will be given their own little bag of popcorn just like the old days you'll want a smaller scoop. This scoop is BIG. It's for filling the popcorn BUCKET (or large bag). This scoop works fine in my popcorn machine, which is the Maxi-Matic EPM-450 Elite Table Top Popcorn Popper. However, the scoop would be too large for any smaller machine. Simple solution for me, next time get a bigger machine (I love popcorn).

Love this scoop! It is well made and the perfect size for popcorn machines. The handle makes it easy to hold and the shape makes it easy to fill a popcorn bowl or box, without scattering popcorn everywhere. Much nicer than the one that came with my machine.

I've been looking for a vented popcorn scoop that wasn't tiny for quite awhile. The vents allow the unpopped kernels to fall out which is nice. I use it at home and for movie night. We have reuseable popcorn cups and a stir crazy popper. I pour the popcorn into a big stainless bowl, toss with olive oil (yes, it tastes like wonderful butter - but better for you) and some nut salt. Then I use this scoop to put into the cups. The reuseable cups have an opening about 3" in diameter and this works great. Because I'm working over the stainless steel bowl, excess falls back into the bowl. This scoop is aluminum with a twisted on painted wood or wood like handle and easy to clean. I would not put it into the dishwasher because of the handle and I don't think aluminum does well in the dishwasher. Just my opinion. It arrived in fair amount of time via USPS and in good condition, well packed. All in all, I like it and would recommend it.

Big scoop makes filling popcorn bowls fast. Unpopped corn falls through the holes. Use it in our movie room ‘s popcorn machine. Love it!

I wish the mouth was a bit narrower for the bags but it works and helps drop kernels out that did not drop in the machine

I can't believe I didn't get this sooner! I have a popcorn machine, and the scoop it came with was pretty annoying to use. It was well, scoop shaped, not flat on the bottom, so it was hard to get much at a time, and it also scooped all the seeds. Bleah. With this, you don't get a lot at a time, or if you do, you lose a good deal when you shake it to get the seeds to fall through the holes, but that makes it not matter. Giving kids a bowl full of popped popcorn with no seeds is worth a few extra turns with this scoop. I just wish there were a left handed option, too. So far, I haven't noticed any issues with the handle, as some other reviewers have, but I wonder if that's due to the popcorn oil getting worked into the threads. Inside the wooden handle is a threaded metal piece where the screw end of the metal handle goes. It seems well made. So I suspect the oil is helping the thing work loose.

Bought this to use in my full size popper, and wanted one with holes to let the kernels and scraps fall through, this fit the bill. It is a bit large, so just be aware of how big your popper is but it was a great purchase. This is an excellent quality piece. Handle is sturdy, and it's ready clean. While there's not much to say to describe it, it's not fancy, it's made for right handed use, and it's very sturdy. Definitely great to have as a popper accessory.
