Beautiful piece
Stellar design, quality for the price. Some of the reviews here got me pretty concerned about the quality issues people have mentioned. However, after wearing mine for a few days, I have to say, so far it has been super great. Bought the watch for 80 some dollars and it has got to be the cheapest yet most beautiful watch I’ve ever purchased. The clean aesthetic is perfect for my wardrobes, casual, business, athelesure. Im very impressed by the craftsmanship, where everything aligned, sealed, adhered perfectly. Hands are straight, and very accurate down to the minute so far. The second hand ticks with pep and moves ever so steadily. The leather or synthetic leather band wears in softly after a day of use. The watch face is light to decent weight on the wrist and drapes nicely. Brushed nickel watch enclosing and accent is flawless. I shall provide update after a couple of months time. But So Far, it is a great addition to my collection of apple and mechanical watches.

A beautiful functional watch.
This is one of the best timepieces in the world. It may not be the most expensive, most complicated, et cetera, but it is the honest embodiment of a beautiful design philosophy. This watch is supremely functional and elegant. It is accurate, easy to read at a glance, and durable. It is classy in a timeless sense that doesn't go out of fashion, because it is so simple and minimal in its aesthetic. For this reason I believe it's appropriate for any dress code, from daily wear to formal attire. It may not be customary formalwear, but it is certainly elegant enough to complement a suit, while making a unique statement. This is a watch for someone who enjoys simple and deliberate beauty through function in design. It is one of the purest expressions of this ideal in any timepiece at any price.

Classic Braun design well executed with a budget Miyota movement
Braun AG was a famous German consumer products company whose products were firmly rooted in German modern industrial design that remain fresh as classics that have survived the test of time. I loved the design of Braun watches and clocks when they first came to market in the 1970's but never actually owned one in the day. With Braun out of business for many years, you have to wonder who is actually making 'modern' Braun watches? Discovery took a bit of research so please bear with me. Braun AG established in 1921, became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Gillette Company from 1984 until 2007. Procter & Gamble Co., the American multinational consumer goods company, subsequently acquired Gillette in 2005. In October of 2009, the company "Zeon Limited", a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Herald Group; a Public Corporation listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Procter & Gamble Co. to develop and produce clocks and watches using the Braun brand starting in 2010. Zeon has built their business selling fashion products based on the strength of licensed brand names. Zeon manufactures watches under a number of licensed brands including Braun, Vivienne Westwood, Playboy, Ed Hardy, Beetles, Lambretta, Alexandra Burke, Paul's Boutique and Bench. Zeon owns the "Ingersoll" trademark. Original Braun watches garnered a reputation for providing high quality with Swiss Ronda movements, so the question is, has Zeon Ltd's execution been faithful to Braun's stellar reputation? I'd have to answer; yes but no. I'm assuming the watch is cased in Asia as Zeon trades in Hong Kong and they've made a conscious effort to hide the country of origin that isn't listed on the watch case, the box or any printed materials. Seems obvious that the Braun watches originate from Zeon's home market in China. The watch casing and band are quite lovely so in my opinion Zeon has done an excellent job recreating the essence of Braun's design, but watch movements are arguably the most important part of any watch and that's where Zeon has cut corners. This Braun is fitted with a Miyota 1S13 Japanese quartz movement (Zero jewels) that is a reliable pedestrian movement found in lots of fashion watches ($6-$7 movement). Miyota quartz movements are made by a division of Citizen LTD and assembled in Japan. Battery life for this movement is rated at 3 years. Zeon provides a two year warranty with the specification that the owner is responsible for shipping costs both ways and that a standard processing fee of $15 is applied to all warranty service requests. So at the end of the day, a warranty trip costs you about $25 when you add freight. Warranty coverage essentially excludes everything other than the movement that only costs Zeon a few bucks to replace so any ‘warranty service’ is essentially client funded. Based on the casing and the caliber of the movement, in my opinion this watch should retail between $65 to $85.

Sturdy and elegant, can't go wrong with this model.
Beautiful watch. Heavy but not cumbersome. Slim, simple, elegant. The strap is surprisingly well made and trustworthy. The seconds' hand perfectly matches the face notches. A perfect example of Braun bauhaus design for a great price.

Iconic braUn design
Very comfortable. Nice looking. The leather strap is what is expected for the price point. I will probably switch the strap for a silicone Barton strap with the quick release. My only "complaint" is some of the markers don't line up exactly on the minute and second hand, but it is hardly noticeable unless you look closely at it ticking. Just an FYI, Steve Jobs was heavily influenced by the braUn designs and was influenced by them when he developed the first iPod and iPhone. Very cool. Highly recommended watch in the quartz movement market selections.

The damn strap looks cheap
The watch itself is acceptable but the leather stripe is totally not worth for a price like that.

1 year in and I love this watch
This is my go-to work watch: dressy, but not showy with a low profile. I get frequent compliments. It’s probably not a timeless timepiece, given the price. But it looks great, tells the time, and still works a year later.

Only had the watch for a month and a few reviews indicate longer term reliability might be an issue. However my experience so far has been stellar - I love the Braun styling- so minimal yet so clear, and the little touches of colour (yellow hand and red date tag) make it much more interesting in real life than in the pictures. The strap has held up well to daily wear (I do not use it in the shower or get it wet as it is a leather strap) and timekeeping has been fine. Overall I am delighted with this - I was very specific about looking for a Bauhaus style watch which was minimal without looking cheap, functional yet stylish too and this fits the bill perfectly!
