cho[TM All Terrain Rugged 6.5 Inch Wheels Hoverboard Off-Road Smart Self Balancing Electric Scooter with Built-in Speaker LED Lights UL2272 Certified

I noticed some discrepancies before I even had it out of the box... I did some shopping around and read the descriptions and reviews from several hoverboards before choosing this one for my sons birthday present. In the description for this particular board it mentions that 264.5 lbs is the max weight, motor is rated at 700 watts (350 for each motor), charging time is 90-120 minutes, run time is approximately 13 miles, and max speed is 8.5 mph. That’s pretty awesome I thought so based on that and a few other things I decided this would be the one to get.... Well, right on the box it says max speed 6 mph, charge time 2-3 hours (which is 120-180 minutes), motor is rated at 500 Watts (250 for each motor). Upon opening the manual and reading stats the max weight is listed as 196 lbs, and run time is approximately 6 miles. I’m not necessarily mad about what the specifications are but I am mad that they were quite drastically different and thus a lesser product than described.Next complaint is that it says it has 3 selective speed modes that you can choose from with the use of a downloadable app. Several features are also included in the app such as tracking, mph, route traveled, tripometer, odometer, and battery level. The manual didn’t give any information about the name of the app but there was a QR code on the back of the manual. I scanned it and it took me to an app called “Hoverboard I”. I downloaded and tried to connect through Bluetooth, wouldn't work. I looked up Cho hoverboards website and looked around, found nothing about an app. Clicked the chat button to talk to someone, asked my question, waited 30 minutes and never got a response. I sent them an email and asked the name of the app that is supposed to be used and got this for an answer:“Dear Jack,Unfortunately non of our Hoverboards come with app. We apologize for any inconvenience. Regards;CHO HOVERBOARD”I sent them an email back with a picture from the manual and I haven’t heard anything back yet.UPDATE: I did get a response back, it is as follows:“Dear Jack,Unfortunately the manufactures added the App to manual by accident. Which we apologize for this inconvenience.”They did reply and give me an answer, however poor of an answer it may be. Not to mention, they should probably fix it. Add another paper apologizing for the misprint, just a suggestion.Bottom line, the hoverboard does work well, it does look nice, bluetooth does connect to my phone and play music. The description is wrong which makes it misleading, and the customer service is definitely lacking. If this wasn’t a birthday present for my son I would send it back just on principal. I don’t want him to be disappointed, and he has really been wanting a hoverboard badly.It must be nice to sell these things for $250 a piece, lie about the specifications, and provide very sub par customer service...

The most noticeable feature on this hover-board are it's heavy duty wheels. The wheels are made of rubber and the rims are super heavy duty steel. This whole hover-board feels like it is well built. It is pretty fast too. It is fast enough where you really cant realistically achieve it's top speed when you are riding this on the roads and side walks. For if you go too fast you will lose control of hover-board especially when you are going down hill. I notice that when the battery is below 30% charge when going down hills, the motor sometimes feels like there is no need to provide resistance to the gravity, so you can lose control as well. So just be careful when going down hills on low battery. I also like the blue-tooth feature on this hover-board that lets you play music on it from phone. It also has a front and back of the hover-board, the front has white 'head lights' on it and the back has red 'tail lights' on it. Definitely nice for the night time.

This product worked great for about a month. Then went haywire and started spinning only on the one side creating a serious weapon. My son ended up hurt pretty bad.

I like the look of it. I bought the camouflage color for my son, however, we felt it was defective. Only one if the front headlights would turn. It seemed that one side charged & not the other. Then both sides would go on, but one side would stop working.

After continued attempts to get a response I got a return slip with an invalid address. I can not return the item. Very shady

I bought this for my son's 9th birthday. He loved it at first. Who wouldn't? It worked as described. Aside from a few annoying things like the app that is supposed to work to control the volume of the Bluetooth speakers absolutely doesn't work at all. You are left to listen to the very high pitched noise of the hoverboard every time it's booted up and down.My son didn't get to enjoy it very long, about 2 months, before the board malfunctioned altogether.When trying to turn it on, the board beeps very loudly, incessantly, until the battery dies. There is no way to turn it off when this started. It won't recognise that anyone is standing on it. Only noise and dead weight.He didn't ride it very often either. We are pretty busy with sports and such that we don't get much free time at home to play with these things so when this happened we were all pretty disappointed. I thought that by purchasing what I thought was a slightly nicer verison than the typical style that you see, we would get a better, more reliable, rugged version that would last.We were wrong. Let our mistake help you by passing on this CHO branded hoverboard.It's cheap, abandoned trash.

I got this for my brother’s Birthday and he loves it so much! He has been riding it daily ever since. This is a sturdy, well made hoverboard. it is pretty easy to ride, my son says it way easier than some of others he has used. The built in speaker sound fantastic. But the item does not come with app like the seller mentions that in the listing, that is not big deal. Riding back and forth drains the battery far quicker then stead riding, but the charger seems to work fine.  My son is very happy with it. Highly recommend the hoverboad !!!

I love it almost as much as my daughter does great product
