I used these gaiters yesterday for the first time for snowshoeing; I ordered these gaiters to wear 'shingled' beneath a pair of ski pants which do not stay affixed over my hiking boots. These gaiters did what I needed: keep snow out of the backs of my boots, flipped up by the snowshoes. They are easy to put on, the under-boot strap did not loosen or interfere with the snowshoe bindings, and they did the trick. We'll see how long they last...

They are economical and useful for what they are, but I had trouble with the stitching on the heel strap and had to resew it. Decent for the money, but yet to see how well they hold up on a long journey.

I bought these to accompany me on a 40 mile backpacking trip in the Smokies. Halfway through the trip, the tie-strings on the bottom had completely fallen apart and some of the stitching was becoming undone. I was able to repair the separated seam, and continued to use them for the remaining days of our trip. Even without the strings at the bottom, they stay in place pretty well, but they do spin a bit and aren’t as good. I’ll probably mess with them a bit more but after another trip or two, they’ll end up in the trash. Bottom line: they’re cheap and won’t last beyond one or two trips.

Tailgaters or purchased to keep debris out of hiking boots. They perform very well At keeping the debris out of my mid ankle hiking boots. They also kept the inside of my boots dry when walking through tall damp grass.

I bought these for a climb up (actually down) the South Sister. I have a pair but my wife needed one, so I got these. They worked great and kept out the scree. I've only used them once, but we'll see how next season works.

I really like the compact size of these gaiters. It's perfect for day hikes on all types of trails. I wanted something that was light weight and easy to put on and was a good value.

I put them on for the first time and the hooks came off.

They work pretty good but not for every bootBecause some of the hiking boots are bigger around the ankle. So keep that in mind when ordering.
