ive had these for 3 years, ive moved them into seperate rooms. i only recently have one single light thats a slightly darker color than the rest! very sticky, very aesthetically pleasing, super easy to set up, settings are easy to change and save, 100% worth it

First, the packaging is nice and the instructions for set up are very clear. The strips themselves have 3M adhesive on the back which is nice, but if going around corners there are adhesive clips (separate from the light strip) to provide extra support if needed. Controls/Functions: There is a small box attached to the strip for basic functions of the lights. Additionally, a small remote has been provided to do slightly more functions. brightness, colors, mode, etc. Once you open the Govee app on your phone, you can adjust ANYTHING. There are so many premade "scenes" and color schemes, but you can also completely customize your own patterns. Exceeded my expectations with adjustability and customization!!! Quality: The lights have not glitched on me yet, and have excellent brightness (especially on white, or cooler colored lights). Full adjustable brightness and colors. Cons/Comments: None really, this is an awesome product. I was concerned which option to choose because there are soo many LED strips but I am VERY pleased with my choice. The only negative is that if you cut the strip, the remainder that is not connected to the power outlet is not useable unless you buy more adapters to accommodate multiple separate strips at one outlet. If that's your plan, I would recommend getting these lights and the separate multi-adapter thingy. Just make sure that your outlet can handle the levels of V or W with multiple strips!

I have had these lights about 28 days so far and have them installed under our kitchen cabinets. I actually bought both the BT (which I am writing the review for) and the WiFi enabled one as well. Overall so far I am very happy with these and at the price point with what I really wanted I feel these are worth it. I only wanted to get some accent light under our cabinets. I know some reviews say you cannot cut the light strip which in fact you can along the designated cut strips and splice them together. Or cut to the desired length if want it shorter than the 16 feet. I bought a kit that had some connectors and jumper cables for under the cabinets. I saw a few people mention there is no timer in the app and they returned the item. One thing I really like about the BT vs the WiFi is that there are 2 timer options so you can run one at night and one in the morning or whatever preference you have. I have not had an issue the adhesive at this point as some have mentioned. With that kit I mentioned earlier I did get some small plastic clips that I may have use in the future to help secure the light strips if they start to fall down. The white light really does not get white or does have somewhat of blue hue to it. However my walls are a light grey so that may play into it a little. I do feel the option to turn these more to a soft white is better. But that is my opinion. The color selection overall is ok and I think most people will be happy with the options. The brightness over all is pretty good but do not expect it to light up a 15x20 room. I mean these are $20-$25 dollar light strips. The option to sync to music my kids love and while these are not professional led dance lights they do a good job for residential, just make the mic is in a good location to pick up the music. The one thing that I do not really like and this is on my set up. I run a Wyze smart plug with a motion sensor trigger to one of my light strips. When the motion sensor triggers the plug to turn on the light strip goes through the sequence of flashing red, green, blue which is a little annoying. But the light does retain its last color or scene. And the result was the same with both the BT and WiFi led strip lights. Wrap up - I bough one of each of the 16 footer light strips one is BT only (Which this review is for) and the other led strip is the WiFi. I bought two different strips because I wanted to run 2 different color of lights for patty’s and holidays. Over all I am happy with both and have not had issue with anything. I felt like these were easy to install and easy to use via the app. The color selection is ok overall but meets our needs. I I think the blues, purple, red and green are the best true colors. Which makes sense since they are RGB. I am still giving this 5 stars because it has met my needs and functions as describe. Order them and if you do not like them send them back.

I got these lights for my bedroom ceiling about 3 months ago, and they have worked well! Setup was quite laborious and took several hours to string them around the room, but in the end it was worth it. On the plus side, these lights are very vibrant and contain a wide variety of colors. The dim feature also is very functional. The remote sensor works well, even through my thick curtains, so long as you point the remote directly at the sensor. There are, however, a few cons to the product: - There are several lighting shortcuts on the remote, but the colors I want are not in those options, so instead I have to flip through all of the colors until I find the right one. - The description boasts that you can cut the lights (which is true - it provides places to do so in about 6 inch intervals); however you can not reattach them once you cut them! This is just a small detail, but be aware. - The setup where the controller plugs in is large and clunky, and since the controller needs to be assessable, there isn't a good way to hide it. In addition, the cord split for the two light sections is extremely short, so the lights can only be spaced apart from each other by an inch at the most. - I found the app completely unnecessary and unfunctional. Basically all of the app functions can be more easily used on the remote or wall controller. The music function that is so boldly displayed all over the website description and packaging doesn't live up to the hype they gave. The app uses your phone's microphone to sense the beat and flash the lights accordingly, but it's not actually on beat with the music. However, if this is not your primary reason for buying this product than these lights should still work well for you. - The "mode" function on the remote hardly works. I believe that it is supposed to flash through all of the colors at different speeds, but at a slower speed, it just flashes one color once then stays solid. If you try to speed it up, it just starts rapidly flashing. However, in spite of all of these small annoyances, this is still a great product if you want some good strip lights just for general lighting.

I have always seen Govee reviews around and could never understand what the praises were all about. How good can LED strips get? Well, LED strips get as good as Govee makes them. Picked out these Govee strips due to the next day delivery and discount coupon and am not disappointed. For me - the key premium is definitely the transition between colors. This is where these Govee strips shine. It's a clean dim and escalation that soothes my soul instead of causing headaches. Also, it's nice to have app support. Cheers.
