Pretty satisfied so far
First of all, don't make these two newb mistakes like I did: 1) When setting an activity zone, you are limited to a rectangular shape with the cameras unlike with the doorbell which allows you to make a polygon shape. HOWEVER, unlike the doorbell, you can set up to THREE rectangular activity zones to create a more complex shape. 2) When testing the motion detection of your cameras, do not watch them through the Eufy app, otherwise the motion detection will not work. The motion detection WILL NOT TRIGGER if you are watching the app at the same time as you are using the camera, since if the camera is already 'on' it can't be turned 'on' by the motion. 3) When mounting your cameras try to place them as far from the wall as possible if monitoring down a side yard or alleyway. At night, the infrared light bounces off of the wall and all you will see is a very bright wall and a dark alley/side yard, which isn't helpful if your goal is to monitor the alley/side yard. This can be improved by mounting the camera further away from the wall. 4) If you are mounting these cameras onto stucco or any stone based exterior, you will most likely need to hire a professional or have both a masonry drill bit and a hammer drill option on your existing drill. Ok now that we have the newb mistakes aside let me get to the review. This is my first time owning security cameras (we had a break-in incident at our house which prompted us to set up a surveillance system). I have been overall pretty pleased with my camera setup (all Eufy, I have the doorbell, floodlight, and 3 of 2c cams), although I have nothing to compare it to. Pros: - The app is great, very intuitive and easy to use. - Battery life is good so far. I have had it one month and still at full bars - Cameras are very small, and don't visually impact the aesthetic of the house at all - Like the alarm feature - Eufy telephone support has been very helpful (shoutout to Kevin who I have bugged the most with my questions) Needs work: - Motion detection is just ok on the cameras (although probably good enough for our purposes). We have the Eufy floodlight too and it's definitely better on the floodlight - Images could be clearer, although I am told this will be fixed in a future firmware update - Spotlight isn't really that bright, doesn't enhance the picture quality at all at night - I wish Eufy would come out with an unlimited cloud storage plan like the Ring that would allow me to bundle my doorbell, floodlight, and 3 cams for $10/month . Overall: I'm happy with my cameras. This is a younger, smaller company so I expect a few bumps along the road. They seem interested in customer feedback though and are planning to implement some changes that I think will enhance the usability of their cameras. Now that I have my cameras, it's honestly hard to imagine ever not having them again. I've been able to see the exact time that my husband gets home from work every day, find a cute neighborhood cat wandering into our yard, spot our neighbors putting up their own security cameras through our doorbell, spot the woman who used to rent our house come by to try to pick up her mail, and a whole host of things which I wouldn't have known about had I not had the cameras.

Great cameras
These cameras work great. I use them around my home and I love that there is no monthly fee!

A great system with a few key flaws.
OVERALL RATING: 8.5/10 PROS: - Easy to install / No Wires - Battery Life / Easy to charge - Solid app / Image Quality - Very good support (1 day delay) - NO Subscriptions / Security issues like Ring CONS: - Had one defective cam, replaced by support - Motion detection needs improvement - Eufy network issues occasionally cause system to go down partially Love these units. Well made and very easy to install. The battery life is great, and they're easy to take down and charge when needed. The app is pretty intuitive, the video doesn't lag much and is very good quality. The ability to turn on lights, trigger alarm, or talk through each camera is handy. I had an issue with a defective camera, but support was very friendly and responsive, sending a replacement. They seem to be based overseas as replies are generally overnight but. That's not a huge issue. There seem to be issues periodically where Eufy's network goes down and it seems to bring down ability to use app to make changes / live look in, etc. My only big gripe is motion detection. It's challenging to find a balance where cars passing by don't trigger alerts. Setting up activity zones doesn't seem to work 100%. Human recognition is good but not great... sometimes it misses people but sees a wheel of a car as a face. Often a car driving by outside activity zone will still trigger an alert. Twice I've had it completely miss recording me pulling into the driveway, getting out of the car and walking into the house... which is a bit scary. Hoping logic/software improvements get better. Overall I'm happy with the system, although it has a couple warts and I'm hoping will improve.

Go with Blink, don’t waste your time
So I bought the Eufy 2C kit and the Blink XT2 kit at the same time to compare. Bottom line up front, Blink is a better system at a better price. If you want to know more, see my breakdown: In no way am I a “techie” but this is my opinion with the two systems: -Picture Quality: Picture quality on both was comparable. Blink definitely had the better overall picture quality, but the Eufy was pretty close. Eufy definitely has a wider angle, and is able to capture a wider area per camera, but I’d rather have better quality with a slightly smaller field of view. Eufy also has a facial recognition system. This sounds nice, but when I was testing it, I would stare directly into the camera, yet it would still only take a picture of the side of my face, or a blurry front view. You’re going to have the video for both either way, so I’d rather have the better quality again. -Night Vision: Blink for sure had the better night vision. Again, I think this is due to the better overall picture quality. You can make out a person crystal clear approaching the camera (minus the color obviously). Eufy has an option light activation, which is a nice feature I suppose, but this wasn’t as important for me. -Motion Detention: Motion detention on both was pretty solid and comparable. Both pick up people instantly, ignoring small cars passing your house, rodents, etc. They did occasionally pick up on larger vehicles like trucks and stuff, but not a big deal. The thing that gives Blink the edge here is the Activity Zones. You can set activity zones on both, but Blink you can zoom in and get a very detailed and minuscule area for your activity zone. Eufy only allows a large adjustable box, like straight out of Microsoft Paint. -Installation: Installation for both was again very similar, and very easy. Connect the hub to your WiFi, cameras to the hub, and mount. Done. -Phone App: Again very similar here. In my personal preference, maybe Eufy has the slightly more user friendly app (cleaner format in my opinion) but again, the difference is so small it’s not a big deal. -Subscription: Now neither camera has a subscription fee, which for me was important. The newer Eufy camera however, does have a subscription fee, so I’m not sure if that is the direction the company is going, but it might be something to consider if you want to upgrade down the line. -Price: The Blink XT2 3 camera system cost me $200, whole Eufy 2C 3 camera system cost $300. With such similar products (some areas Blink is even better) that price gap is too large. Blink is the way to go. If Eufy lowered their price point to $200 I can see it being more competitive, but even then I might still lean towards Blink. Hope my review helps, and stay safe!

These work great! No subscription service required
We recently purchased these and cant say enough good things about them. The picture is very clear and you can pick up movement from a good distance. We have outside cats and I am able to control settings so it doesn't alert every time they walk by. One of the best things is you don't have to sign up for a subscription service! I simply have the camera alert me in real time so I can watch who is at the house. I can then delete the short video at my convenience. The set up.was really easy. We are an older couple and dread purchasing electronics because set up for us is usually a nightmare and we end up arguing and calling a young person for help. Not this time we walked right through the set up with no issues!

Impressed!
Great little security set up! I got the 3 cam package with home base, and am impressed so far. I am using it to monitor the apartment building I manage. I have one camera by the front gate and the other two around the back of the building. It is only 8 u it’s, so not a huge complex or anything. I don’t think this would work for larger businesses but for my needs it is perfect. So far (a little less than one month) they are working excellently. I was concerned about battery life and WiFi/home base range but have found those concerns to be unfounded so far. The camera by the front gate gets the most activity by far. We live in a busy urban area of a big city and get a lot of foot traffic between residents and deliveries, usually around 20-40 captures a day for the front gate. That camera battery is at 75% after 4 weeks. The 2 in the back don’t get activated nearly as often and those are at 99%. I find these draining rates to be more than acceptable. And the range from camera to home base has been surprisingly good. I was able to connect my home base to my WiFi after setting up with Ethernet, and move it to a central location that was close enough to all 3 cameras to connect. I have noticed little to no drop in connection or missed triggers. The video quality is decent, not super high def but enough to make out faces which is all I care about. For more money you can upgrade to 2k but that was overkill for me. For the money, and local storage with no monthly fees, I am very happy with the purchase!

Amazing!
We got this after a recommendation from a family member and they do not disappoint. They are sleek and easy to use. From installation to the set up of the app, the directions and clear and easy to follow. They are battery operated but ours have been up for almost two months and the cameras are still at 80%. They work off of wifi and have an incredible range. Our garage camera is probably 50+ feet from the home base and it still works and records. All three cameras work off of the same base and you can have a few more as well. There is NO monthly subscription, though through the app I think you can pay for monitoring or something for a minimal fee. You can set up the zones you want it to record and block off the zones you don’t want it to record (ie the neighbors giant front window). You can speak through it in the live mode, watch recorded videos of events it captures and do so much more. They are pretty much endlessly customizable through the accompanying app as you can optimize the cameras battery life or capturing all events or by making it more sensitive and recording longer. The nighttime vision is not perfect but you can still see. The one at our garage still captures faces even in the dark. There is a spotlight feature as well for nighttime. You also get notifications for each event it captures- but you can silence notifications if you want for any amount of time. There is at-home mode and vacation mode and a lot of other features. They also hold up well in all weather. So far ours has been through rain and sun and wind and done alright. Anyway, I would highly recommend this set to you if you want home security but don’t want to pay for a subscription. Edit: we are now in April, and are just now having to recharge the cameras. They pick up everyone, and each day we get notifications of the mailman coming by, along with anyone else knocking at our door. So, the batteries lasted about 8 months which is crazy! 10/10 definitely recommend
