The design wasn't exactly as shown in the picture, the top is not a tube, but another piece that has to be bolted to both sides, but looked nice.Once all together, the rack is exactly what I need for my neoprene weights of various sizes; the spacing between the holders (from outside edges on each) is ONLY 3 1/4" so the rack is NOT designed for bigger weights or those with larger hands hoping to grab quickly.All the parts were present but the bolts do not tighten easily with fingers. I put the entire rack together and then went back at the bolts with a pair of pliers in one hand and a 1/2" crescent wrench in the other. It took a little hand strength and coordination (keep one hand tight and still, and the other tightening the bolt) so it was slow going on the tightening but the rack is nice and rigid and works well.

I recently bought a dumbell set from papababe that included the rack and a set of weights from 5 lbs to 25 lbs. I noticed that the space between the sides that hold the dumbbell was pretty tight and not big enough for my hand. It makes easy to pinch your hand if you're not careful. I hadn't really used the set at this point and liked the dumbells and the price point so I ordered a set of dumbbells to finish out my set that were from 30 lbs to 45 lbs to finish out my set. I also ordered this rack to hold them. I really regret that. The larger dumbbells are too big to place them next to each other on the rack and with the heavier weight it's really hard to get them off the rack and put them back on the rack because you can't get your hand between the holds to grab them comfortably or at all. I should have bought the typical horizontal rack instead and bought all my dumbbells separately.

So weight racks are not cheap, especially ones that are made of metal. this one does deliver on that though. It did not come with any form on instructions, so it took a bit to figure out which bolts should go where... Also, some of them where pretty hard to access when I needed to tighten them so that lead to another challenge in assembly. But after all that, for its value. It is a good deal.

It took me 15 minutes to set this up. You you need a 9/16” crescent wrench to turn the nuts and pliers to hold the bolt. Here’s how it did it:Step 1: Lay out the parts and match the nuts and washers to the bolts.Step 2: Connect and tighten with crescent wrench the base by bolting the two “leg bars” to the stabilizer bar (requires four bolts, four washers, four nuts)Step 3: Loosely connect the two sides to the right and then the left base. Put the nuts on the bolts and tighten with hand. Do not tighten yet with crescent wrench.Step 4: Tilt the two sides in and connect with the long center bolt, washer, washer and bolt. Tighten the bolt with crescent wrench.Step 5: Now tighten the two sides to the base with crescent wrench.Step 6: Put the rack where you want it. Put on your weights.Step 7: EnjoyRichard

When you use medium or large weights (ie 10kg or a heavier) on this frame they sit so tight up against each other you can’t take one out at a time - you haven’t o take out the top one then the next one etc until you get to the weight you need.This is not a problem with small weights (<10kg) where the rack works great and is value for money.The supplier was excellent in accepting this issue and gave me a partial refund as I could only use it for some of my weights, so would buy form them again as overall a good product, great customer service, just unfortunate design for a specific weight size.

I bought this and completely forgot to scroll down to the reviews but if you’re like me and you bought it already, follow what one purchaser or did: grab yourself a pair of pliers to hold one of the screws as you use your wrench to tighten the bolt. Tools are not included. I tried to return this and before I hit submit the return was going to have to be reviewed by the seller so I knew it could get kicked back, which is when I found a review from the person on here explaining how to do it easily. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this item but it’s built and definitely not balanced. Oh and some pieces (black plastic holding pieces) were missing.

Fits well in tight space and holds all my five sets of multiple size weights well. Problem: Five out of ten plastic pins that holds the plastic sleeve covers came already broken. I now have to glue it down so when I pick up a weight, the protective sleeve does not fall off.
