Wet socks after walking in wet grass!
These boots are described as “Waterproof”, but they’re not. Amazon said to take it up with Timberland, who said to take it up with Amazon.

Disappointment with waterproofing
I bought these 14 months ago, been using them regularly, not only for my travels but for walking in the city. Good leather. I bought them because I used to have a chocorua timberland boot that had EVA inner pad ( not any more when bought new) and we're comfortable but the waterproofing was not good enough, that is why I bought these white ledge , who were supposed to be better in waterproof and more resistant. After a little more than a year using it regularly, the outer sole wears out quite quickly. The biggest disappointment was that the right boot the outer sole has started to unglue from the side , which allows water to reach the inside, and I had to apply glue trying to fix it. I would expect this problem if I had worn them for at least 2 years of very constant use. They are OK for comfortability, but really consider buying an EVA inner pad, makes a very big difference.

Great boot!
I climbed all over the boulder field at Devils Tower in Wyoming and these provided great footing with zero slip. I wear these daily as a work boot, kneeling, climbing stairs, lots of walking. Extremely comfortable right out of the box, virtually no break in period!

Field Tested Archaeologist Aproved!
I bought these to do archaeological field work in and didn't expect much out of them as this type of work is hard on boots. They fit well and I never once had my feet hurt from standing and working all day. I did end up with some callouses, but was surprised I had no blisters. They not only worked well keeping my feet warm, but I was floored how well they were when keeping my feet dry during water screening which pretty much soaked these shoes. It took about 6 ours in standing water and wet pants before the water finally penetrated these. I believe that was only because the water ran down my legs into the shoes. I have a bad ankle and found these not only supported my ankles but also found my old injuries never hurt. The only problem I had with them was shoveling. I ended up wearing holes in the soles very quickly kick shoveling, but then when worn under normal advertised use I suspect they will last a pretty darn long time. I actually loved these and am a little sad I wore out the soles. I most likely will buy a second pair....this time reserved for hiking. Worth the money!

Great boots!
I really love these boots! They’re comfortable and durable. The only issue is that each boot came with a different size lace. The left lace is much longer than the one on the right
