Gexmil CNC PVS15/18 Night Vision Goggles Mount for L4G24 NVG Metal Helmet Mount

I recently purchased the Gexmil CNC PVS15/18 Night Vision Goggles Mount for my L4G24 NVG Metal Helmet Mount, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance. This mount offers a reliable and secure attachment for my night vision goggles, enhancing my nighttime visibility during various activities. Firstly, the build quality of the Gexmil CNC PVS15/18 Mount is impressive. The mount securely attaches to my L4G24 NVG Metal Helmet Mount, and the adjustment knobs allow for easy fine-tuning to achieve the desired position and angle for my night vision goggles. Once properly mounted, the goggles feel secure and stable, even during intense movements. One notable feature of this mount is its compatibility with both PVS15 and PVS18 night vision goggles. The adjustment knobs, although functional, could benefit from a more refined and smoother operation. At times, they feel slightly stiff, requiring a bit of extra effort to make adjustments. This mount is pretty darn solid for the price. I was looking for a nice mount for my bump helmet I wasn’t trying to break the bank on that set up so I looked into replicas of the Wilcox L4 G24 because I have, and really don’t enjoy using, the Norotos Rhino. The main differences is that the Norotos (or the many other very common mounts with a similar styles as the Norotos) mount is HUGE compared to the G24 (or replicas of that mount as this one is). This mount is working great for me so far. Another really big thing that made me decide to keep this mount is that it is very sturdy and does not have much wobble compared to the Norotos mounts(Norotos mounts with the bayonet style connector for pvs14s is the absolute worst. With it fully set up everything adjusted to your liking, all screws possible tightened down, the nvg will still have a TON of play and will easily wiggle around in the stowed and deployed positions and it drove me nuts). This mount has so many nice features to adjust to your specific facial features, it’s really great. It is an absolute perfect copy of the Wilcox mount and that thing is a pearl. I think the one and only thing I can possibly think to say was a little odd about this mount is the button to release the J Arm was a bit difficult to press the first ~5 times but it loosened up and is working great(I hope this button does not become an issue). For a fraction of the price of the real one this one is a steal it also only weighs ~2 ounces more than the real deal, you won’t even notice that. Overall very satisfied with this item, it is relatively new and I haven’t used it so much to say that it is 100% perfect but from the times I have used it, it had preformed perfectly exactly how I needed not a single hiccup. It’s definitely worth a shot if you are in the market for a good mount that isn’t going to make you hate yourself for spending that much on a foldy mount thing. I will be using this mount a lot and will see how good it is and if there are any issues I will update this review, if there are no updates you can assume the mount is working as expected.

Obviously this is not a genuine Wilcox mount, but for the price I believe this mount is an excellent value. This mount locks into my Onetigris helmet easily and securely and also works perfectly with the ModArmory PVS-14 dovetail j-arm. The mounting is very secure and positively locks in without difficulty. There is a bit of slop in the fore/aft adjustment as well as the stow/use locking mechanism, but I have not found this slop to be relevant during use, only during evaluation when I was looking for it specifically. The dovetail release and stow/use lock plunger are also a bit stiff sometimes; I plan to add some PTFE dry lube to these points for longevity and ease of use. Adjustability is excellent, and I had no trouble getting my monocular positioned perfectly with my eye. All in all, I think this is a great mount for target shooting, night hiking, and light hunting use and highly recommend it over any bayonet solution for the PVS-14 system.

For the price, this is 5 star. Is it as good as the top name brands, I don't thinks so. But does it work, yes, and it works well. Fits tight on the helmet mount with no shake. The adjustments work well with no sticking or shaking. I have used it with single and dual NVG's and I am happy with its performance. Especially for the price.

Yeah listen, I get buying American, I get brand name... BUT $500 for a MOUNT??? You're kidding me. I've seen enough reviews of the real thing to know that thing ain't worth the price, it wobbles, and is still loose, to the point where most people shim it and use bungie cords to secure their nods. For under $100, this is a super solid choice, granted I've only had it for a few days. It's very tight, rock solid, slides onto my RNVGs and clicks in. It is super solid and secure. I hate that it has a Wilcox logo though, super tacky and lame. Now I look like a poser with a clearly knock off Wilcox when I wasn't even trying to get it's name brand on it. It is what it is though. This is by far the best G24 mount, yes even better than the real thing just cause of the price. The only iffy unknown issue I have with this mount is I don't know if the break away function works or not at the same level as Wilcox. But that's about it.

Honestly from the reviews it seems really good but literally day one of use the tension lever that goes left to right no longer worked and it just became EXTREMELY lose, I could not tighten it at all, maybe that’s just the one I got but I’m not exactly happy about it, I would return it but I’m pretty sure I can’t

Update: Seller reached out after I left my review offering to send me a new unit. The new unit has much easier adjustments, however the tolerances must be too loose now as the unit has a lot more slop/play in it. Overall I think this is probably fine for airsoft or play, but I wouldn't use it in a serious role. ---- Original Review ---- Very rough machining. Be prepared to grind/sand/oil in order to get the adjustments on this working. The price is good but man, quality control here must really suck

For the price, it is great. I've been using it at work and it's holding up just fine. I'm definitely buying another one when I get another set of NVG.
