Very solid and all metal. Holds heavier folks easily. Just metal hook you have to move to collapse. Folds down, taking up minimal storage space. Would recommend!

This is really a good ladder. And super easy to put together. I feel safe if I need to change a light bulb or reach something on the top shelf in my kitchen or bedroom closet. I'm a widow and at my age I can't risk a fall. So although it's bulky to find a place indoors to store it and awkward to carry around the house when needed, I'm glad I purchased it.

This stool is a nice, light weight step stool but it is not usable for standing on the top step. It is satisfactory for lower shelves and you could sit on the top step to use it for a seat at a bar or for a child at a table. It is really light and portable but definitely not usable for reaching high shelves or ceiling to change light bulbs.

My husband as well as myself are not small people. We needed a stool that would hold our weight as well as have a solid step that you could stand on and not feel like you would lose your balance. This ladder has taken care of all our needs.

The reason I gave it a three star review is because of the little offset leg which they should have QC before it arrived to me. I mean it's sturdy so I'm not going to fall, but I'm not going to find a support piece of plastic or staff of napkins to jam under the peg leg so that it doesn't wobble. It is useful to reach things that are just out of reach. Was useful when I was setting up my wyze cam outdoors. Always find multi-purpose in things, since I don't need to on a weekly basis, I turned it into a plant shelf to hold 3-6 plants on it until I exceeded the plants I could fit on the ladder. I mean plants don't care about the wobble once the peg leg settles so it works. And even with the watering, it didn't rust and hurt the paint so there's that upside. This product is lightweight so easy to carry and the latch does make sure once the ladder is set up, it won't fold back. Just can't get over that peg leg, so I bought a lemon and made lemonade even if that lemon was funny looking.

I love this step stool. It folds up very compactly it opens easily, it locks in place. It's very sturdy and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this step stool! I wish I would have had this in my life sooner.

I like this and is definitely something I needed. I just wish it was a little taller. But can't go wrong.

When people say, "my grandma fell off a step stool and broke her hip and now we have to do x, y, z to take care of her" this is the step stool they were referring to. It's rickety, slippery, flimsy, and the steps are too directly above one another so you feel unstable/your foot can get caught climbing. I'm 32, relatively small, and in good shape and thought I was going to slip and die using this ladder the day it arrived to put ornaments on my 7' Christmas tree. I bought the ladder for more strenuous chores around the house (swapping light fixtures, replacing vent filters, etc) and I can't even imagine trying to use a corded drill while standing on this thing without it collapsing or me somehow slipping off if I moved more than 5 degrees of center. If a friend or handyman were to borrow this thing from you, it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. Do not buy.
