I like this sauce. Not too sweet, thin but perfect consistency. I used to buy from Dreamland when we went there to eat. I also like a little on smoked sausage.

This is a vinegar bases bbq sauce with a kick to it. It is thinner than usual bbq sauce and not quite as sweet. It's exactly what I like on ribs, chicken, pulled pork, or just slopping it up with white bread. At Dreamland, they bring you a loaf of white bread with your ribs for that very reason...slop it up!

Great sauce! Has a good mustard taste in the background. light kick of heat. Very tasty.

Dreamland bbq ribs are the best ribs you can get, especially in Tuscaloosa Alabama. When Big John died a number of years ago, his family started opening up several other Dreamland's. The original is still open also. It's a little hole in the wall. All they ever served was ribs w/sauce and white sandwich bread. Yep, that's it. I haven't been to the newer restaurants but hear they offer beans, coleslaw, potato salad and dessert. My little family moved from Tuscaloosa last year to Virginia. I was in dire need for some Dreamland bbq sauce. I bought a quart and brought with me. My daughter found it on Amazon and ordered 2 more and had it delivered to our new house for my birthday. Then, we finally bought some ribs and chicken to grill and broke open the first jar of the sauce. It tasted nothing like the original we knew and loved. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't the same. It wasn't thick. It was slightly runny and very tangy like vinegar and mustard. I'm just praying the other jars aren't this bad. I can't even remember 1 time that Dreamland's sauce ever tasted like this. I finally kept playing with the sauce and added some Heinz Simply Ketchup to a portion of it and finally got the taste I was looking for. Looking forward to eating some Dreamland ribs, my way!

I didn't want to tell my wife I paid $17.50 for a quart of sauce, but, I chalked it up to research. I've making killer ribs lately and wanted to up my game. This sauce hit the mark, for sure. But, I think I will have to try a clone or modify some commercial brands. I've always blended my commercial sauces because it seems to add dimension to the flavor. I like the thin ness of the sauce. It seems more homemade than those with corn starch or other thickening agents. Good stuff, though. Can't wait to put some on a butt. Admittedly, I am a butt man. Enjoy! Update-15DEC - So, we just finished this quart on some ribs. The jar was kept in the fridge when not in use. We found that the sauce lost much of its flavor after opening and chilling. The hot and vinegar ingredients seemed to overpower the other flavors. I suggest that the jar should be used in its entirety upon opening to enjoy the product at its best.
