WE Furniture 52" Console Table Wood TV Stand Console, Rustic

First off let me preface this, I have put together hundreds of prefab furniture pieces over the years. I'm a bit fanatical how things should fit (as an Auto Tech I am just built this way, lol) My first impressions unboxing this thing was the packaging was done nice enough to keep pieces from becoming damaged during transit. And oh yeah, it's heavy about 100lbs which is ok cause good furniture should be heavy. Everything came out of the box looking good. Next sort through the assembly hardware. Hmmm, wooden dowels and glue....not a deal killer but my first clue that I may not be happy. Assorted screws, camlocks (look cheap but we will see )etc all labeled nicely and all accounted for. Start assembling, ok the directions are clear no problems here...moving on. Half of the way thru I'm heavy into the cam lock part of the assembly and this is where I'm not happy. I quickly realize my first instinct about the quality of the camlocks is true. 3 issues prop up, 1st the camlocks don't have the usual positive engagement feel most others have. Meaning you cant feel the lock engage and stop. These feel as if you never now when the lock has finally come to it's fitting position. 2nd I start to find when the holes were bored for the cam locks the factory never cleaned them out properly. So now i start to clear the holes with a screw driver first hoping this changes the camlock engagement. Sadly it doesn't cause I find problem # 3 which is holes not bored deep enough nor are the attaching pins on the adjacent boards set to the correct depth. End result is you must stop short tightening the cam locks or you just cracked the boards. And yes I cracked the face board at the very top. A small bulls eye appeared as I heard the sound of wood splitting. Because of the color and texture and location I realize this imperfection will probably never go noticed. I'm pissed but I'm not stopping at this point. What was I going to do? Box it up and sent it back. Kinda get the feeling the manufactures already consider this scenario. So my final impressions where that I felt like this was some rookies first attempt at designing a piece of prefab furniture. If so they get a C minus for the build aspect and hardware assembly aspect. I have put together similar pieces with 2/3 less hardware and a whole lot less assembly time than this piece (@ 3hrs for this piece) . On the flip side of the assembly and why I ended with 3 stars was after it's put together this thing is very pretty, it's sturdy and well it's almost unique in it's appearance.

Finally got the chance to put this piece together appx two months after purchase and…Pros: The cost, color and size worked PERFECTLY for the placement/use I had in mind when ordering (buffet in an open dining area). Everything was intact and accounted for upon delivery (this was a MAJOR concern). Anyone I've shown pics to LOVES it.Cons: Length of time required for assembly was not my cup of tea. However, given the number of pieces, it's understandable. The screws for the cam locks didn't have long enough posts. I say this because mine weren't screwed in all the way (read: not tight), but the screws barely had 1/8th" or so for the cam locks to grip. I had to go back and unscrew them some to make the posts long enough to poke through and THEN the locks worked (broke TWO locks to figuring this out. Additionally, someone made it a point to scratch and write on BOTH of my shelves. Needless to say, I didn't appreciate that.Bottom line? I love it. I'd recommend it. However, you're likely buying at your own risk.

After reading reviews I was a tad bit skeptical as far as the item coming damaged. This company totally took those past reviews to heart because my package was boxed and protected incredibly well. For a heavy item like this you kind of almost expect it to come with box a bit beat up or some sort of issue and I was prepared to deal with it. Much to my surprise the box came in amazing condition and upon opening I was so thrilled with how well this item was packed. Took me- with the help of my husband- a little over an hour to assemble. Lots of pieces and instructions but they are well written and super easy to follow. This piece is super sturdy and totally worth the price. Very happy with this purchase!

3.5 hours install time while watching TVProduct looks greatSturdyInstructions were clear and easy to followAs of now we would purchase this again.Ordered the white console on Jan 2 2017 and received it on Jan 9 via UPS. The box looked to be in pretty rough shape with some gauges and other such marks. That does not surprise me since it is a heavy and big box. I was happy that when I opened it, the packing did its job and the item was not damaged. The instructions that were included with mine had 2 pieces marked that did not match the instructions, as well as it did not provide the instructions on inserting the glass on the doors. I was able to figure it out quite easily. I also later found out the manufacture website had PDF instructions and this lined up perfectly and included the missing steps. While watching TV, I spent about 3.5 hours total in assembling the item. Pieces went together as they should and the items seems to be of good quality.

Super disappointed. I read through many of the reviews and expected it to take awhile to put together which it did (3 hours) but what I didn't expect was for the cams to break and not be able to tighten. We now can't lift the cabinet from the top otherwise the whole top will lift off. There was also a deep gash on one of the doors that is very noticeable. Of course we did not see it until the cabinet was put together and now there's no way it's coming apart and going back in the box to be returned. I realize I bought a large piece of furniture off of Amazon so you can't expect too much but it's still fairly disappointing.Update: We've had it 9 months and every time I look at it I feel like I've thrown away $300. It's covered in scratches, the top has noticeably separated from the front, and one of the knobs will no longer stay on. Do yourself a favor and buy something from a real store.
