Great product
I did have a tech install it.I couldn't get good cable internet at my home I could only get the phone service and we know how that works, not well at all. I beamed this from my business across the street to my house approximately 600 yards and the speed is great of course cable is always better glad I made the move I'm sure it will pay for itself in about a year great product!

Meh.
Get a bullet and a parabolic dish instead. I've had 2 of these fail after a while.

Works, but significant signal loss regardless of distance.
Edit; the price has been jacked up recently from 89 dollars to 400-500 dollars. I have no idea why. They are absolutely not worth 400+ as they are extremely vulnerable to even minor surges in power (I have lost 3 of 7 purchased). At this idiotic price this is a 1 star product.Works as advertised. I have a 1 km run to my "man cave" on a very large property. However, even though there is nothing but air between the two dishes I'm losing 2/3 of the signal (179 down at source, 69-70 at receiving station).Edit: I have configured them correctly and they still lose at least half the signal at any distance past about 100 yards.I have a shorter run I set up for a friend to his workshed with these. Its about 400 feet to his shed and he loses more than half the signal.I did not set these up incorrectly. Certainly willing to listen to advice.Still very useful and I'm pleased that the product works. I just wish it worked with less signal loss.

The Little Radio That Could
Kudos to UBNT for another excellent product---powerful and inexpensive. I use it in a mountain cabin to access a neighborhood AP about 1/4 mile away, line of sight but with many trees in between. The link quality indicator claims 50 Mbps, but I could only test it up to 15 Mbps, which is probably limited upstream.Like other UBNT radios, this radio can be a little tricky to configure. The configuration UI is mostly fine (if you remember the two-step save/apply settings, and it would be nice if it let you know if the apply step forces a reboot or not), but, as usual, when something doesn't work, you have little clue why---so you do a factory reset and try again. For instance, some UBNT radios I used in the past (I can't remember if this particular one had this problem) had AirMax enabled in their factory settings. It turns out that with this setting, when the radio is configured as AP, only other AirMax-configured radios can connect to it. On top of this, the AirMax setting, which needs to be disabled, is hidden in the first tab, which doesn't even have a text label like the other tabs do, just a cute drawing, so that it looks like a decoration rather than a clickable item. Well HELLO?? Anybody there? Did whoever make this choice still think it's a good idea? Anyway, I must be a glutton for punishment, because in spite of this, the radio rocks and still gets 5 stars.

These are not quite as strong as a Nanostation inside a satellite style dish, but the installation is very fast with these. You will need a separate mounting bracket. A common satellite bracket works well.
