Satisfied with the book.
It's a great reference book on collecting, treating, cleaning, storing seeds. If you're serious about growing your own garden then this is a good book to have for the rest of your life. It's hard to want to buy produce at the grocery store with all the evil Monsanto company is doing to the seeds (GMO--genetically modified organism). They're screwing farmers & consumers over. Here's an article about it: [...]

Seed saving BIBLE
This book gives you a plethora of information as to WHY you have to do things a certain way, you aren't left with questions as to "what if I did it this way?" or "what about that?". If you are inquisitive, this is a great answer to your gardening needs. No reason to invest hundreds to thousands of dollars over time gardening when you can save seeds and MONEY. This is a great investment for knowledge and really is important to those achieving self sustainability. Not just saving seeds but how to store them, how to germinate and start the process again, it's great information! BUT... I have an olive tree and this book does not include how to save seeds/store/germinate in the event I am ready to add another, over all I didn't see anything else missing!

You won't regret this book!
This book is a wealth of knowledge. Especially if you are wanting to get serious about self reliance and homesteading. The beginning of the book covers seed biology, growing plants for seeds, harvesting and cleaning seeds, seed stage, germination, sowing seeds and transplanting and breeding your own varieties! Wow! The rest of the book is layer out in sections of vegetables, herbs, flowers and nuts and seeds. The ind3x in the back is fantastic for looking up some plants as many are found through the chapters under their lesser known names. When you look up a plants common name in the index it redirects you to is more technical name and tells you were in the book to find it. 10 outta 10 would recommend!

If you need help growing from seeds, saving seeds, buy this book!
This book has a lot more information than just how to save seeds. I've never been very successful about starting plants from seeds and now I know why. So many things I was doing wrong. This books explains quite well how to successfully start plants from seeds, what to do, and what not to do. Explains what to look for in a plant so you can save the best seeds. If you have bad plants, you'll have bad seeds. I'm not completely through it yet and haven't tried starting seeds yet so the proof is yet to come how well I've learned. Only frustration is the writer's penchant for using too many of the scientific terms for types of plants, plant parts, etc. He does explain their meaning but it's difficult to remember so much at one time. Glossary doesn't have all the terms either. Overall, the book is excellent and I'm very glad I bought it.

Incredible Resource
I bought "Seed to Seed" years ago and loved it. This is a huge improvement. It gives so much more information, is very clear and easy to understand, and is nearly an all-in-one resource. Even plants that aren't covered in the book can be understood since the basics are given in detail. I have read through it once, referenced it several times during planting this season, and plan on reading through it again after harvest in order to prepare for next year. I highly recommend this for anyone who owns or plans on owning a seed bank, or for anyone growing in their garden/back yard. Unless you grew up farming, most of the information here will be new to you.
