Lucas pawpaw ointment is the ONLY lip balm that I have used for many years, b/c it is the most effective at resolving chapped dry lips. I've tried dozens of others, and nothing else compares. BUT, the plastic packaging quality has deteriorated the last 2 years, and the plastic dispenser will crack along the sides long before you can finish the product. I've taken to wrapping tape around the dispenser to cover the crack, which does work, but is unsightly. Time to develop a better dispenser, but it's not significant enough of an issue yet for me to take away a star.

My friend from Texas visited Australia. While she was there, everyone told her she needed to take back some Lucas Papaw Ointment because it fixes so many things. Lucky for me, she gave me a tube. They're right, it does fix... mosquito bites Itches, dry lips, owies from hangnails...just a variety of little hurts. I ordered two tubes and shared one with my sister. She loves it and ordered a couple of tubes as well. I use it for dry lips at night and for me, it lasts all night. I live in North Dakota and can't wait to try it on split fingers from cold weather which somehow always happens. It's not greasy but stays on. This is a great find and not expensive.

Exactly what I needed. Great as a lip balm.

I often have dry lips cos I ain't use to AC or cold weather. I've used different kinds of lip balms and lip gloss but all didn't work best. One of my friend said to use petroleum jelly which was good but I don't want to often use petroleum as it's bad for the health. I begun searching for this item online and happy to see this on Amazon as one of the best dermatologist quickly showed this to her post as effective for the lips and the ingredients are safe and healthy specially the papaya enzymes. I gave 4 stars cos the item arrived in bad condition like the ointment is melting out on its tube. The product doesn't have a seal so it won't leak. However, it was so effective still. Just an expensive ointment!

I received my first Papaw ointment as a gift from a friend. It was the original tube without the lip applicator. I absolutely loved it, and used it on my lips daily. I started running low and after seeing that they had a lip applicator got the 3 pack ( 1 for me, and 2 as gifts for my sisters). The lip applicator tube is so handy for my purse! The ointment itself works miracles. I live in AZ where it is very dry and hot... so a lot of chapped, cracked, sun burned lips. However, after I started using Papaws I have yet to get cracked lips... at all! The best thing about using this as my go to chapstick is that it doesn't make my lips more dry after the ointment wears off(which happens when you use cheap chapstick that leave you more dry and chapped then before), with Papaws they fell hydrated and soft. I used to like burstsbees chapstick, but I love this so much more! It's flavorless, colorless, and works incredibly well. What really sold me on this was that it not only moisturizes the lips, it also heals the skin. I have the bigger tube of this at home and have started putting this on my boyfriends dry cracked knuckles, on my heels to keep them soft and smooth, and/or anywhere that skin looks damaged to help it heal faster. It is so versatile. I highly highly recommend it! It has ended my search for chapstick forever.

Used this product for about 20 years mainly as a lip gloss now but I also have the tubs for putting on grazes or nappy rash when my kids were little. Love it. Will use for the rest of my life.

This is my first time using this product and it works wonders!! I found this out through soc med and saw many artists use this so I wanted to give it a try. I apply this as my lip balm and it’s so MOISTURIZING! It does not leave my lips dry after long hours. The consistency is NOT sticky but a bit like “liquidy” once you apply on your lips thats why I also apply this as a lip gloss!!! Also, I believe this one is a REAL Lucas Papaw because its product is not yellowish but rather a subtle opaque yellow. I will BUY AGAIN!
