From paper to cardstock to lamination 10 mil thick, this paper trimmer cuts everything I need! The size is just right fitting everything up to 12x12" which is perfect for scrapbooking and my use making planner dividers, inserts, and more. The rulers on here are fantastic and very easy to read. You even have some preset sizes on the ruler and grid on the cutter itself that provides you with a great guideline to where to cut and which direction to go. It was a bit of a trick to realize that you were cutting the width and length the way you needed to cut them first but once I got the hang of which way to cut first it was nothing but easy. I have cut up to 5 sheets of regular computer paper, up to 4 pieces of 24lbs paper, and 2 cardstock at once. I have only attempted to do one 3mil, 5mil, and 10mil lamination sheets at once due to accuracy. What I absolutely love the most about this paper trimmer is that in side of the cutter itself there is a very thin wire that lines up exactly where you're going to trim. This wire is centered exactly where the blade will run and no more guessing just about how far along the blade will be from the edge of the line underneath like other trimmers. The wire guides you exactly where you'll be cutting to give perfectly straight and precise cutting each and every time. **tip** Try cutting some tinfoil to sharpen the blade up some! Works like a charm. Although, the blade comes very sharp and will not need sharping for some time after a good amount of use.

This cutter is AMAZING! I've started making my own greeting cards, and rather than pay money for kits, I wanted to choose my own cardstock. Of course, that means being able to cut it down to the sizes I need, so I knew I needed to get my own cutter. I'm used to one of those big guillotine cutters at work, and to be honest, I really didn't trust the design of the smaller cutters I saw. But I figured Fiskars is a good brand, so I crossed my fingers and ordered this one. And I couldn't be happier! This little cutter is absolutely amazing! Everything lines up perfectly, and the precision of the cut is unmatched! The guillotine cutters I've used are not as precise, and it's easy for the paper to shirt and cut unevenly -- not so with this Fiskars cutter! Not only does it cut perfectly straight every single time without fail, but the little wire that shows exactly where your cut will be is genius! Seriously, I have used all kinds of bigger, supposedly better, commercial cutters, and none of them hold a candle to this one.

This may be a long winded review for a simple item, but I feel it appropriate because of the extremely high level of satisfaction I have with it. Originally purchased Dec 17, 2012, (Yes, almost 10 years ago!) I initially bought it for a project I was planning involving printing 75 candy bar wrappers for my niece's sweet 16 birthday party. The cut was always very accurate thanks to the guide wire on the slide for the blade. Had to actually trim 4 sides of each page I cut as I printed the wrappers two per page. I went ahead and bought a pair of replacement blades with it, which are now lost due to the fact that I only now need to replace that part! I also used it to cut another 75 wrappers for another niece's sweet 16. I've used it many times over the years to cut laminated pictures, and various other small projects. Always with great results. Sometimes I had issues with it leaving behind shavings of paper, or not cutting all the way through because I tried to cut too many sheets at one time. I used it to cut labels for 100 party favor jars for my sister in law's 50th birthday. That was on thick adhesive label paper. (One at a time.) Also did 100 candy bar wrappers for that event as well as over 100 invites on copy paper. I used it in 2019 to cut save the date cards for my wedding, (on card stock which I was able to cut cleanly 2 at a time for 150 cards, again 2 per page) and the wedding invitations, and thank you cards. Approximately 125 for each item. Oh, and I also did candy bar wrappers for my wedding as well. :-) I now use it every month or so to cut service tickets and sale order requisitions for my job. It is still going strong, save for the fact that over the years my heavy handedness has actually worn out the tabs that keep the blade in place as I use the cutter. I now need to keep the blade in place with a piece of tape in storage because it will simple lift out of the track anywhere on the slide due to extreme wear. (Until the replacement blades I just ordered come anyway.) The track itself is also showing signs of wear, and again I attribute that to my own ham hands. I do tend to use what is probably too much pressure, and make two passes to ensure a clean cut. If you're still reading, I decided to post this review because I am happy to see that others who have purchased this item recently are also very happy with it. And I was surprised that it is actually still in production. I recommend this item highly!

Now I have no others I can compare this to as I have never used one before but I have been watching many, many others online use them and have seen others make not so clear cuts, frayed edges and so forth, or the sizes were just not what I was not looking for, cutter did not lock in, so forth. I just did not want to buy one and not like it and have to rebuy as I am on a fixed income. So I did much research. I ended up buying this one and have been using it for the past few days all day long each day, and am totally happy with my choice! the blade cuts perfectly, it locks into place, has an extending arm, great measurements, cuts up to 10 pages at a time (I should know as I have already tried this one a few times). it has no slip stays on each corner so it wont slip when on a surface (but today I was too sleepy and was using it on my lap and it worked fantastic (took apart a huge 300 pg book that won't ever be used for anything but my junk journaling). I just truly highly recommend this one

Weight size Ease to use and clean Blade just isn’t secure it fell out now is missing. I now have a paper cutter that I can’t use because I can’t find the blade.

I was using a score & cut board for cutting my paper and noticed some of the people I follow were using this paper cutter. I finally decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT! My printer does not print "square" on the paper and the cutting line makes cutting less of a nightmare. Perfectly straight every time. Have had no issues with cutting 3 or 4 sheets of paper at a time. All are equally cut without being skewed. Can also cut off the "white" edges around printed digital background pages with ease. No going back to get that tiny bit of white off because I didn't have it lined up perfectly. This is a life saver for me. It has a locking mechanism to keep the flap held down in place when not in use or when moving it around. It is also weighted well and has feet that keep it sturdy to the table and does not slip. Worth every penny.

Okay, this is a tool I was REALLY concerned about replacing - my old fiskars trimmer was my favorite, but it was the series before the wire was there, and I wasn’t a fan of the wire to be honest so I was avoiding buying this model... but my poor old trimmer was fighting me at every cut, and since this is a tool I use multiple times a day I figured I should just give in and get this one. Not disappointed at all - I don’t even mind the wire! It doesn’t get in the way as much as I thought it would. It’s still annoying to me, but it’s not as bad as I expected, and actually can be helpful when trying to see the cut in advance. I don’t think the wire is really necessary, and I think the cutter will work without it - you would probably just have to rely more on measurement than visually lining up the cut. BE AWARE on my trimmer the wire does stick out a tiny bit on the bottom, and though I have not cut myself it did scratch me a bit when I grabbed it wrong. Be careful of that! I know that it might just be because the blade is brand new but it cuts beautifully! It also does not get stuck in the treads like my old one started to do. The only time it has cut unevenly or torn an edge was when I wasn’t holding the piece down well enough. This trimmer also has a really well placed grip where you can press down on the lip of the clear blade track and not hit your fingers when running the cut or worry about getting fingerprints all over pictures! The footprint is great and very functional, the feet sit nicely and keep the trimmer from sliding around. Overall I’m a fan of the design and have not had any major issues yet.

I've got 3 or 4 cheaper paper trimmers, and have been holding off on buying a better one but I finally bit the bullet and wow, am I glad I did. Kicking myself for not doing it sooner! I LOVE the guide wire, it shows you exactly where the cut is going to be made, making it a breeze to get precise cuts. Gone are the days of having to follow up with the scissors to trim off that extra little strip of white paper after you cut - or worse yet, realize you've taken just a smidge too much off. It's lightweight and the measuring arm is extendable if you're cutting up to 12" paper, and easily tucks back in if you're not. This is *not* a rotary trimmer, so you do need to push down on the cutter, and I was able to cut through 3 pieces of cardstock in one go, although the last one wasn't quite as crisp as I'd like, so I'd say stick with 2. For regular copy paper it went through 3 with ease. If you're into paper crafting and have been limping along using one of the cheaper options available, do yourself a huge favor and grab this. Total game changer for me.

Compre esta guillotina de papel para el uso en mi papelería. El tamaño es pequeño y cuando llego pensé que no iba a cubrir mis expectativas, sin embargo estoy muy contento con mi compra. El equipo esta todo hecho de plástico de alta resistencia. La cuchilla realiza un corte exacto y limpio. Lo que mas me gusto del equipo es la precisión del corte, trae una guia sobre la que corre la cuchilla que te marca exactamente donde se realiza el corte, no tienes que ejercer mucha presión para poder cortar, y el papel no se mueve gracias a la guía de plástico que lo sujeta, he cortado papel crepe y el corte es exacto y limpio sin mordeduras. He cortado papel normal, cartulina, micas de plastico, cartón delgado, papel china y crepe con excelentes resultados. Los únicos detalles que he encontrado que debes tomar en cuenta son: - Todas las lineas para guiarte vienen en pulgadas, nada viene en centímetros. - En algún momento la cuchilla perderá filo y al dia de hoy no está disponible para la venta en amazon. - Estuve leyendo las reseñas de los clientes de Amazon USA y comentaban que traia una cuchilla extra, sin embargo este modelo no la trae, aunque en la descripción no lo menciona pense que si venia incluida. - He probado cortar hasta 8 hojas, necesitas aplicar una mayor presión para que lo corte en una sola pasada, y aunque a veces no corta en la primera pasada como el papel queda firme en la guillotina el corte sigue siendo preciso en las siguientes pasadas. En resumen es un excelente producto, con una exactitud muy buena en el corte, quiza no sea tan util para los que buscán corte por volumen, pero si para los que buscan cortes limpios y precisión.
