region 1 dvd Review: To desertcart: Not to be deleted. - I wrote a multi level review that did not go against any guidelines but it got deleted by one of desertcart's inexperienced staff, anyway. I will not repeat that lengthy work here, however.... The dvd is good quality. The films are excellent, though the final film based on the final months of a real life hero of the old wild west, now set in the developing heydays of the 1920s. The story was somewhat wanting in its structure and is the lesser of the 3 movies. The 1st two are brilliantly written and produced. The acting and dialogue are second to none. Great collection. Sam elliot makes great films
Sam elliot is a great actor and his films are fantastic well worth watching I would recommend them to everyone

Quality Box Set.
These box sets can be a mixed bag with manufacturers chucking in the odd dodgy film to fill up the set and offload films that dont move with those that do. But this setis well above par and all three films are 4 stars. Rough Riders maybe a bit too Gung-Ho for most tastes but is well made. Desperate Trail is clever and fun with a good tight script and cast. You Know My Name is a fine 20 century/catches up with the cowboy movie. All good. Its Region 1 dont forget. So perhaps its time to get your DVD player decoded. Its easier than you might think!

BEST WESTERNER ON THE SCREEN!!!
The quality from the DVD's its not the best,but good enough. This Compilation got the best Westerns from Sam Elliot for me!! Sam Elliot is'the best Western-actor since "John Wayne,that's for sure...
