Love this headgear!
My 7 yr old (49 lb) loves this headgear. It's our second set and he NEVER has issues with it. Doesn't fall or move at all. He wears it at practice everyday. We see kids struggle with other brands and always swear by this headgear. He started wearing this brand at 4 yrs old.

Size is too small
My child is 9y/o and is about 54 lbs, so he is relatively small. This head piece is super small for the kids his size. I would not recommend using it for the YOUTH- it’s more like for the kids with smaller heads and up to 7y/o. Great quality though!! So, we bought an adult one, that can be made smaller by the straps.

Great once sized correctly
This was my son's first year wrestling, so he only had 10-15 matches total. This headgear set worked really well for him after we got it sized correctly. We had some difficulty getting all the straps properly sized to my son's head, but once that was done, it fit well and provided great ear protection while still allowing my son to hear well. Pros: good padding, comfortable, fits securely, allows child to hear (doesn't muffle sound like other headgear) Cons: Multiple straps take a long time to fit correctly, chin strap is cheap foam and probably won't last more than a season. I definitely recommend this headgear set with the understanding it will take some time time and readjustment to get it to fit correctly.

A little work but worth it
At first these were hard to get to fit, but once we got them all fitted and adjusted they are super comfortable and easy to put on.

Good quality
Got it for my 12 year old for wrestling. He is happy with it. Doesn't slip, easily adjustable and made well.

Good fit, good protection
There's good reason Cliff Keen's are widely recommended by wrestlers and BJJ. Offers very good ear protection, pads are very comfortable, and velcro straps are easy to adjust. Some have noted the ear cups bend a little (are not hard plastic as other brands) and concerned about ear protection. It would take tremendous focused pressure to even bend so not a realistic concern. Highly recommend.

My son seems to really like this.
Got these for my 10 year old (who is on the smaller size). We have tried other headgear and they were just to big for his head. These fit him perfect around his ears. The only thing I wish was that the Velcro was a little longer. He has about 1/2"-1" left to adjust. But how slow my kids grow we should get a couple years out of them. We did notice that the chin strap did rub a little and leave marks under his chin. Couldn't figure out what it was at first and was about to take him to the Dr's and see if it was a fungal infection of some kind he got at wrestling. He wrestles Every other day and tournaments on the weekend so it wasn't going away. Last night we finally figured it out when I was looking at the placement of the strap. Will have to change something so it doesn't keep happening. The strap was very hard to snap and unsnap at first, but the more he uses it the easier it's getting. Otherwise, my son loves this head gear. Says it really comfortable. If he's at a large tournament with a lot of matches going on he does say that it can be hard to hear his coach. Sometimes the sound will just ring and he doesn't like that. Guessing it has something to do with the plastic and how it's shapped. But it must not bother him enough because he still wants to wear it. All and all I'm very pleased with this.
