Country Life Magnesium helps my muscles not to cramp and helps improve my sleep quality. I appreciate the dark colored bottle because it protects the magnesium’s integrity. I wish the capsules were smaller, but that’s a personal preference.

I have been using this product and brand for over 25 years….through menopause, a hysterectomy, and now into post menopause. Every woman should take CA+MG every day: it virtually eliminates most - if not all - of the “side effects” of having one’s period - then eases menopause and life after. What is not widely known is that without magnesium (MG) taking calcium is a waste of time unless you have a diet rich in MG - almost impossible to accomplish. We all understand the consequences of insufficient calcium this product is such an easy way to ensure sufficient amounts of these crucial elements in one’s life. Another thing to remember is that it is important to understand the type of calcium you take: calcium carbonate is hugely accessible (think about chalk, cones, shells) but also not easily absorbable by humans. The “chelated” calciums are less available and thus more expensive. But his expensive is it to take a substance that your body can’t easily absorb or excretes through the digestive system and, frankly can contribute to constipation. (Oh joy!) BTW, Country Life includes NO calcium carbonate. Evidently, the authorities that regulate these things won’t let them put this info on their label - but they don’t regulate what I write (at least, not yet!) and that’s the main reason I’ve taken the time to do so. And, BTW, insufficient CA LEADS TO OSTEOPOROSIS - something no one wants. At 79 - no loss of bone, no broken bones, no consequences from insufficient CA. “Widow’s Hump” isn’t pretty. Don’t know about you but I don’t want to walk around with a permanent curve to my spine.

product is a good source of calcium and magnesium,my mother has been using this for a while. Other than the capsules being a bit large for a elderly person to swallow is manageable.
