Wrapped in plastic, but very nice product
These are great. They deserve 5 stars. Great flavors and moisturizing and tube is not plastic!!! However, as someone trying to limit plastic in my life, I wish that they were not wrapped in plastic!!!! They are just lip balm, please Amazon or Farmstead, wrap in paper!!!!

Fine product, terrible package
The chapstick is very nice on the lips, protects them in below zero, windy, snowy days. Lasts awhile & I don't have to reapply every ten minutes. The flavour is good, not too sweet, just enough to be interesting. It also doesn't have the waxy, thick, "cakey" feeling of cheap lip moisturiser. The drawback is the tube it's in. It is terrible. It's very short, & how the product is pushed up in the tube, impossible for an adult to operate. This has no typical plastic applicator that twists to raise the product above the rim, but rather, you stick a finger in the bottom of the tube & push. The moisturiser is so soft, the cardboard applicator is soggy & mushy. Not good for travel on days that may be warm. It'll melt through & make a huge mess. I understand the "be eco" packaging gimick, but it's terrible. I won't dare carry this in an expensive purse, any purse, nor pocket. Leave this for home use & find another brand to take along, unless you want a mess. I like the actual product, but I'm never buying it again due to the tubes material & construction.

First Order. Second Not
My initial purchase was ok. I like the scent and mild flavor. I bought this in order to avoid plastic, and this was one of the few options. I didn't like that it was gritty (as you can see in pic) near the end and contains stevia (illegal in the EU and toxic). My second purchase of the same exact flavor either was not authentic or was a major reformulation. The color is completely different, as pictured. It smelled strongly of gasoline and didn't taste much better. I threw it out.

Good quality lip balm but personal preferences will keep me from reordering.
I do like the lip balm itself. I like the ingredients. Packaging is cute but I feel like cardboard that could potentially be moistened by the lip balm or your own lips could be a bacteria magnet. So that’s why one less star. The other star is for the stevia. I prefer my lip balm unflavored and sugarless while still smelling nice. Using stevia makes it sugarless but it’s still sweet. I want to put my lip balm on and forget it. I can’t forget what I’m having to taste the whole time. I wish they had a stevia free version because the lip balm is great. However, unless they change the packaging to something more sanitary (plenty of eco friendly options to do that) and remove the stevia I will probably not order again.

LOVE! IT!
I've been looking for quite some time for a natural product with simple ingredients that works. This one is amazing and fits everything I've been looking for. I was a bit shocked—and saddened—by some of the other reviews saying this product was smaller or contained less than other similar products. I know math isn't everyone's forte, so I'll explain for the slow kids in class. While the packaging is shorter than other similar products, it is also greater in diameter, meaning just as much (if not more) volume of product can fit into this packaging compared to similar products on the market. One sweet soul even posted a picture of this packaging next to a similar product, trying to prove this one held less. However, had that person turned both products around, it would be clear to everyone that the net weight on this product is actually more than the net weight on the similar product... not less as the picture was intended to show. Bless their hearts. Bottom line, great product, great packaging, great quantity for the prices. Just great in general. Try it.

Too much plastic packaging
I really like this product. I've used some others that are in cardboard packaging. This one still fits easily in my pocket, works well, and I like the scents. Unfortunately, I felt there was too much unnecessary plastic packaging. I specifically bought lip balm in a cardboard package to avoid plastic. I hope the seller decides to rethink their packaging because I'd like to buy this again.

Simply the best!
From ingredients to packaging. Even though it would be optimal not to have any plastic, it is still not like a regular lipstick’s container. For those complaining about the size, the photos show evidence of how much we pay for the package that all the lip items we buy and use. Farmstead Apothecary uses the amount necessary to hold the precious balm inside. This is my lip moisturizer for as long as they can sell it to me.One suggestion: lose the “natural fruit flavors”. An extract would be best. Will buy more for sure! Thanks for coming up with this awesome product. And being readily available on Amazon conveniently.

$6 For Pinky Sized Chapstick
This is a gift I bought for others, so I can't comment on the quality (which I'm sure is nice) but what I can comment on is the gut wrenching size of this product. This chapstick is $6 for a pinky sized chapstick. This is about half the size of average chapstick for 3x the price. I got it originally for the paper apparatus it's made from, because it's better than single use plastic but the cost cannot possibly be worth the size. What I expected was an average sized chapstick at this cost, and I wouldn't have minded that it was a little more expensive, but not for this peanut sized thing.
